I am at work. Many people are shocked. They are worried about "blood in the streets", a race war, war with Russia, and Trump screwing things up with hissy fits. I can already see the germination of many conspiracy theories. I have heard a black family discuss white people having "purges" if Donald Trump wins. I think that movie had more of an effect on blacks than I thought. I am taking this opportunity to explain media bias to people wondering WTF just happened. Doesn't seem to be sinking in well.
ETA Maybe the teaching isn't going so well because of the huge shit eating grin on my face.
If Hillary had of won the election Republicans and Libertarians would be fearful and much more rightfully so than imaginary fears of a race war.
A race war was much more likely to happen under Hillary rather than Trump. Look what happened under Obama, riot after riot and the support and appeasement of Black Lives Matter and other black supremacist fanatics, plain old looters, and far-left wing fanatics.

peaceful protests' where there was just some rock and bottle throwing, where there was vandalism and property destruction and where a few individual people were assaulted and almost beaten to death by groups of '
protestors'.
That's not counting where '
teens',
students' or '
youths' spontaneously attacked people of the wrong skin color in mob attacks in malls, stores and parking lots while yelling racist insults that make their motivation clear. That's not counting where Asians, Hispanics and Whites were murdered, raped and attacked by small groups of individuals with a history of participating in such '
protests'.
Police who are tasked with keeping public order are being ambushed and killed by members of both Black Lives Matter and other Black racist organizations in ones, pairs and in groups (5). At least 11 cops have been murdered and 9 more injured by people with direct ties to BLM and there have been many more attempts (thwarted by bad luck, poor aim, pistols jamming due to poor weapons maintenance, good situational awareness displayed by police brought about because of their training etc etc). That's also not counting those who were inspired to attack police on their own, just those with direct ties.
What's also not being talked about is that this isn't occurring in a vacuum, Black community activists and far-left fanatics who are in the Black Lives Matter movement are continually making racist threats to murder people and attack their loved ones after their death.

Why would the media report this? They give scant coverage to the attacks.
That also isn't counting the practice of people who are Trump supporters being occasionally shot (leg), attacked, stalked and/or being labeled as '
racist' (with the hopeful possibility that they might lose their job or have some other negative consequence in their lives). Notice the lack of Trump bumper stickers on cars and yard signs despite winning the election? Gee, I wonder why. No one wants their vehicle vandalized or their home lit on fire.
Instead of being rightfully shunned the way the Ku Klux Klan is they're spoken and consulted with by the Obama administration, the Democratic candidate for President and other major Democratic politicians.
Somehow there are few fingers pointed in their direction (probably because the media generally agrees with them) and Trump and Republicans are supposedly guilty of engaging in "
Hate filled rhetoric".
If it weren't so serious this would be a bad joke.
