Discuss your daily prep, big or small, grand or miniscule. You may post the daily prep that starts someone else prepping.
We prep to be independent. Independence from an exterior force is freedom. If you can help another prep then you have assisted them in staying free and independent. Cool, huh?

My prep today was to start a forum. I hope it works out because I'm a little lonely in here. But really, I cleaned out my garage and gave away a bunch of stuff I forgot I had. So far I have takers on all the items and the rest will be donated to Goodwill. I must have driven by a new one near my home 50 times. It used to be a bank, still looks like a bank.

Kudos on the Goodwill donation. I just dropped off a car-load last week. I might not have a pot to piss in right now, but my "clutter" can still help others worse off than me.
Today: 3 mile run, pushups and pullups, 3 mile botanical garden walk, reading. Hey, unemployment does have some benefits!!!
I also have all of my food preps in the garage so Omega_woman and I can inventory everything. Some of my water containers have sprung leaks, so I need to start looking for cheap alternatives. I've been re-using 2L soda bottles and 1gal jugs for the last few years, giving me an impressive water supply; but, a few leaks here and there have me questioning this technique. Definitely not a long term solution, but it has worked on the cheap for a little while.

The previous day's preps were: 1. 7 mile ruck on the Modoc trail. 2. Ordered 600 rounds of .223 3. Rotated stocks of vitamin rich drinks.
Omega, for water storage I use those Reliance 7 gallon cubes. They are pretty heavy when filled and kinda spendy for a water jug, but they don't leak and are pretty tough. I have set mine up on a heavy duty shelf so my GF doesn't have to lift those bastards if she needs water and I am not there.

I exercised and taught a young man some dirty boxing. I also had my son in his martial arts class. I also purchased an underquilt, a Mountain Hardgear jacket and a coleman heater. My trips will be warmer.
Hammockers! I ask you, when using an underquilt what is adequate for an over cover? Normal overnights around here are 30-40s. Assist me!

Ugh, 3mile flak run (USMC interceptor w/plates), pullups & pushups, 3 mile walk the dog, and raked up leaves for my compost Redeyes: I've been eyeing those water cubes for awhile. Once funds start coming in again, I'm jumping on those fo sho! Ginger: I'm not sure what you're asking here, if by top cover you mean top quilt or sleeping bag, then you would use whatever is appropriate for the temps. The underquilt is only 1/2 of the warmth equation for frosty hanging. I know you have the MSS. The intermediate bag, despite its weight and bulk, should hold you over.

Yes, what I mean to say is what should I have over me.

^^^^^ Now as a potential UQ buyer, I"m interested in this as well.
Redeyes: Are you talking about the "Blue Cubes" you can get from wally world? I can attest to the durability of them. They do last and take a beating...

Worked out last night; chest, squats and pushups. I shot a bow at the school in between sets.

Tracked down some free icing buckets from Publix to use for food storage. Some stores have quite a few sitting around. All you have to do is ask!
