Today I ordered the 4 pack of kifaru pull outs and 2 compression sacks. Trying to get this damn bag lighter/smaller!
Also ordered a Eberlestock rain cover for my Warhammer.

Making a Warhammer lighter/smaller? Doesn't that involve a hot-knife and a bad attitude? (Says the guy with a Mystery Ranch NICE pack...) NXP

Yea, it's kind of difficult, but I'm willing to give it a go.
This past weekend I went through a bag review. I removed about 3# and added 1/2# back in the shape of a laplander saw. I also ordered some folding maps to replace my atlases.

Picked up a used Hudson River under quilt, coleman tent heater and a mountain hardcore compressor jacket. Nice, love this stuff. No more inflatable mat scooting around under me. However, the inflatable mat does work for me down to 25-30 degrees. Just bought off Amazon, a butane torch that takes standard lighters and a Snug Pak jungle blanket. I'll report back on the blanket once I wring it out. I plan on using it as a top cover. I normally overnight with my jacket on and over cover my legs with a Snug pak sleeping bag. Welp, I get too hot most of the time. I sleep very comfortable with a wool blanket but those are too bulky and heavy as is the snug pak. The Snug Pak extreme is an awesome bag though. I'll probably just stuff my kids into it from now on. I'm still looking for a compressible vest. Maybe. I need to test my kit in a hang.

Picked up a Hennessy Hex Tarp. I'm excited about this, 6 tie downs vs 8. Yeah. Etekcity portable outdoor picnic Backpacking Canister Camp Stove with carry case. This one is going in my GHB. I need to get a super small fuel container for it. Grabbed some Nite Ize lights. The Bug Lit, the Wrap Lit and the reuseable gear ties. They look neat.

After switching to a commercial pack and dropping a few more items, I'm down to 45# loaded including 2L of water and about 10# of food. Doesn't include firearms or ammo.

Well, the Bark River Aurora arrived a few days ago. Nicely made, you can see the quality oozing from it. I don't like it. It just doesn't feel good in my hands. It's going back.
The HPG Ute arrived. Likewise very nicely made, quality likewise oozes from it. I like it quite a bit. My wife already wants to steal it from me. I'll let you know how it performs when I get back from my Alaska place in mid October.

Awhile back I bought a volcano stove make out of stainless steel. It's kind of big and heavy. Anyone running a lighter one? I'm looking at the small Ti ones. Recomendations? I'd like to replace/augment my gas stove.

I'd like to replace/augment my gas stove. Just make yourself a wood gas out of 2 cans. Really light. And you get the knowledge of how they work.

My paranoia must be pinging because I bought Izzy gas masks for the family with extra filters in light of the goofiness of Ebola and other viral outbreaks. Don't know, tinfoil hat but I'd rather have a back up option than not. Like carrying a gun, rather not need it and have it.

Lemme ask you or our med professionals about some things regarding masks. I'm heavily allergic to grass pollen, normal routine for me when mowing the lawn is to pop a benedryl, and put on a N-95 type mask. Usually the ones with the cool flow valve. Since I hate spending the $5 every time I mow, what are options with other respirators and filters? Obviously I dont need a full hood, but what about the painter respirators and filter cartridges? conversely - What (non-pollen) will the N95's protect down to? Virus/pollution, etc?
