Just about OT, I found a company called "EZ-Flow" that makes screw on spouts for plastic "water cans" that just so happen to have threaded collars that fit both gasoline and diesel cans and which comes with a vent/plug. Apropos nothing else, I absolutely despise the modern EPA mandated gas can spouts which seem to guarantee that I will spill half a pint each and every time I try to fill something up.

I have the Wavian brand of Jerry cans (NATO Style) and they come with a good spout. When dispensing gas, you press the nozzle and it compresses and opens the valve. My overlanding water cans are also Wavian brand. wavianusa.com/Pricey, but quality.

OK, quick update...
GSMTR was awesome!! The FJC was on point. First day we were doing blue6 rated trails and there wasn't anything the FJC even balked at getting through. We off roaded for about 6 hours.
Second day, we (4 of us) headed out to do a blackdiamond7 rated trail. As we approached the trail, one of the vehicles had a water pump on the edge of failure, so he went back to camp and started calling places to find a replacement. The rest of us started the trail, person 1 no problems, person 2 getting stuck and had to be pulled out, person 3 (me) exit vehicle and take a smoke break. Keep going on the trail, person 2 stuck again. I looked at our maps, and about 100 yards up is a turnoff to get back on a blue5 trail. Yea, we decide to do that and head back to see if the person with the water pump has found one. Get back to camp, nope. We all start searching for a replacement, find one about 60 minutes away. Hop in the FJC and run to pick it up.
Day 3, we head out with another group who we knew and started doing blue5 trails, except these guys like to do them at 15mph. I kept up but then we kept losing person 2 again. Stop, have a smoke break. At this point I was getting physically beat. Headed back to camp, kicked off the boot, grabbed a beer and enjoyed the weather.
FJC updates...
Btw, I solved the "lockable storage" issue. I saw a review on a hornaday safe that he actually mounted in an FJC, ordered and installed. Now I need to build the flat deck in the rear after removing the rear seats.
