Alright, I've initiated Operation Boolit Blitz. I ordered 500 of Wolf .223, and will continue to order 500 of Wolf per month until the elections OR until all the ammo is gone because because everbody else is ALSO doing what I'm doing. That will give me a few thousand more of blastin' ammo (give or take), which will set me up for a few years of routine use, and I can squeak it out for a long time if legislation makes things more...difficult. At internet prices that means I'll be spending around $125/month on my stock up, which equals about one extra 12 hour shift at the ER per month. Silly not to do this while the stuff is available for reasonable prices, right? This. I have a running order at SGammo, plus I am picking up a little here, little there as I find deals. Slow and steady is my usual mode, but hey, it's ammo, I'd use it regardless, right? Why not order a bit more, just in case?

I have a half case of 55gr Brown Bear coming today from them.

I started looking hard at the dpms g2 recon. Middy, free float, and who cares about the furniture because i can change it.
Looks like 1400 retail, which isn't bad at all for a 308 AR that isn't a lmt or a scar. Google complaints seem to be for lefties eating brass every trigger pull. They seem to have tried to address feeding/extraction issues.
Psa not in a hurry to get their lowers up and emailed them but they say no until on site for sales. Internet says some folks are having trouble finding lpk to fit them and that pins are too long (?)
Mer. Would rather just get the lower for now but may end up springing for the Dpms. May just go with a bolt that takes the magpuls to get my 308 fix.

So apparently a Rock River 20" inch A4 National Match is also on the list. www.flickr.com/gp/142061265@N08/98V1Zg(Wish I knew how to post pics from Flickr) I'm trading stuff around to get that. Always wanted to try High Power/Service Rifle competition and so this is my opportunity. It's a used rifle and the guy that had it was using it as a high powered plinker and he stuck on a Trijicon 3-9x40 green dot/Mil Dot , a KAC rail and a Harris bipod. It comes with all that as well as the original forend and the NM A2 style carry handle. I'm also getting an Alexander Arms 6.5 Grendel 20" upper, to swap back and forth with the NM lower so I'm going to transfer the Trijicon scope/Burris rings'n'mount and the Harris bipod to that when I get it.

(Wish I knew how to post pics from Flickr) Goto your "Camera Roll" then enlarge the photo you want (It's the 2 arrows in the top right corner). click on the bottom right "View on photo page". Allow it to rez. Bottom right again, you have the classic share arrow (Share photo) Clicks. Popup will give you choices on size. Choose wisely my son. Make sure BBCode is selected. it should already have a blue highlighted selection. do a CTRL +C. You might get a bit of gobbley-goop in with the code for example this: [url=https://flic.kr/p/vSvQ2o][img]https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/280/19605990872_d1e54843a0_m.jpg[/img][/url][url=https://flic.kr/p/vSvQ2o]2015-07-11 16.36.29[/url] by [url=https://www.flickr.com/photos/16459850@N07/]Brian[/url], on Flickr Most of this is trash. it gives the photo, a hotlink for the photo, and makes sure everyone knows your using flickr. The important piece is this: https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/280/19605990872_d1e54843a0_m.jpg Then go to the place you want to share it on and follow their instructions. Here for example you click the "Photo" at the top to insert image. Paste (CTRL +V) the code. click enter. If the picture script isn't working, you can always type it like this: Your photos address here[/IMG]
Which gives you this:

He put a scope, rings/mount and a bipod on it Now I have to get it back like how it was originally. He still has the NM forend (in plastic bag sitting on black case), I just have to take off the rail and all that other stuff, buy a leather sling and a shooting jacket and I'm all set. (Thank you for the directions)

Well, I picked up the RRA NM. It has a bunch of accessories on it (KAC M5 RAS rail/Trijicon Accupoint 3-9x40/Harris bipod w/a rotating quick detachable bipod adapter) that I'll either sell or put on other rifles. It appears from reading the 77 grain Tipped Match King (TMK) and BTHP is pretty much standard in service rifle competition, so I see some of those in my future as part of my stocked up ammo purchase plan. Also plan to get a shooting jacket, not sure which one. I'll probably drive to a match to check it out, not shoot and just ask a ton of questions. Leaning towards This Shooting Coat (*Click*), but I'm not sure if I should just save up for the Hardback version (which costs more). Will probably buy this Ron Brown Sling (*Click*) rather than the El Paso Saddlery 1907 Sling (*Click*), apparently it's slightly better.

Well, I sat down and whipped up a list of firearms related items I'm going to try and pick up over the next year now that I have a place to store it at my property (and someone trustworthy to watch over it). It's items that I think would be harder to acquire if the anti-gun crowd gets in office, so things like uppers aren't on it at the moment (not that the Stazi woudln't like to make them hard to obtain). (6) AR-10 lowers (120) AR-10 20rnd mags (6) AR-15 lowers (120) AR-15 30rnd mags (6) EAA Witness (steel) pistols in 10mm* (120) EAA Witness 10mm mags (20k) 5.56 ammo, cheapest available (currently can get a barrel of 14k for $6000) (20K) .308 ammo, cheapest available (5k) 10mm ammo, 180 gr (10k) .300BO supersonic (5k) .300BO subsonic (50k) 22 LR (6) EAA Witness .45acp slide/barrel assbly (6) EAA Witness 9mm slide/barrel assbly (6) EAA Witness .22lr slide/barrel assbly Reloading press and dies for 5.56, .300BO, .308, 10mm, 45acp, 9mm. Powders Primers .308 projectiles Alloys Bullet dies Did I miss anything? My (possibly faulty) logic is that if the anti's get in the first thing they'll try to do are mag bans, followed by a clone of the Clinton era "assault weapon" ban, hence my picking up mags and lowers first. Their next step would be stupid high ammunition taxes*. I think they'll be slow on the uptake and not think to go after barrels and uppers for quite a while, ditto on reloading components. This list isn't solely motivated by "OMG!!!!", but also by the fact I've now planted my proverbial "roots" in one spot....I can now start to stockpile a lifetime worth of ammo and spare parts. I've a similar list for routine household consumables but it's not on the priority list as I doubt they'll be banning laundry detergent, bleach, soap, ect for quite some time. Or Bernnie gets in and hires one of his Venezuelan buddies as a "Consumerism Czar".

I'd add a couple of really good safes to the list (hey, if we are making lists, may as well go all out) and I suppose you also are stockpiling parts kits for the weapons and mags? Maintaining all these things will be important one day.

Maintaining all these things will be important one day. Oh, yes. Aside fromt he obvious need for uppers, barrels, bolts, and whatnot to complete the builds on those 12 lowers I'd also be looking at spare parts for all around the quantity you find as bench-stock for a small arms repair shop at the DS level, plus replacement barrels for the long guns for every 10k rounds they may fire over their lifetime. All that is a bit lower in urgency as I doubt they'll get on the ball fast enough to restrict those parts without causing a large percentage of the population to use the third box the citizenry has for influencing it's government and elected representatives. No safes, but there is a RC room in the house build for this purpose. I'm not likely to have casual "neighborhood" burglars on a parcel of land in AK that's only accessible via boat or a 2 hour hike over rough terrain. ..and then they can deal with my caretaker and his hound from hell, a mastiff/Pyrenees cross. Obviously nothing is impregnable, but I think everything adds up to a fair bit of discouragement for any thieves at this point, as in "There has GOT to be easier pickings elsewhere". At some point I might start looking at a 3-D printer,,,,,, *Edited to add* If by comprehensive you mean "huge", you're absolutely correct. There's very little chance of me getting all of this by November, or even January. This is more like a two year buy list. I spent my younger adult years hampered by the AWB, and have been overseas ever since it expired. As a result I've not really had a chance to play catch up like many other's. Now that I have a place to store this stuff I'm determined to never again be caught out in the cold. I'm buying for myself, my wife, and our unborn children.
