Pretty sure a few posts back I swore I was fine on mags and would rather spend money on ammo haha. Mag prices just too cheap. I did want more 308 magpuls, and now have 7 to get me started whenever I get around to that fungun.

I am going to go against the grain. I do not think Hillary will be the next president unless Trump is murdered or dies of natural causes. I believe Trump will be the next president. I make this statement not to start an argument, merely to let it be known I do not agree with what appears to be the current majority opinion on this site. What makes you think one liberal from New York would not act the same as another liberal from New York once either gets into the White House?
Anyone with actual data showing an actual difference between Stump and Killary may present their case, but I see little difference.
Both play to an audience, on either extreme. Neither is honest, nor supports gun rights.
If there is hope, it is from the Libertarian Party (Mattis still refuses the draft). Perhaps this is their year.

We don't know. Hillary is a known quantity, Trump is unknown. The only thing we know about Trump is he was talking about what needed to be done for the country long before anyone else was. What he will do when he is in office only he has an idea of. We can only hope he is telling the truth.

Killary Fo'Prez, Fo'Sho'!
Thing is it doesn't matter who's the pres. Obama has set up so many rules and bureaucratic entities that can make up rules and regulations that congress has become irrelevant. Remember when the ATF wanted to reclassify assault rifles but there was so much of a dust up they backed off. That was a rule, not a law. That's how they got those shotguns on the DD list. It's not just guns either, right now there is a massive fight about zoning laws being taken over at the federal level. These rules were created by HUD, not congress.
Well, I'm picking up another Glock AR lower, build out my AR10s now the PSA has FN CHF barrels for $250. I have oodles of mags but I'll probably get a few meow.

Genuinely curious as everyone has different thoughts and motivations, but assuming you are set on mags/guns, which I think most of us are if we are realistic with ourselves, why buy anything BUT ammo right now? I could sell 80% of my AR mags and still have a life supply IMO. My ammo stash is good sized and even being conservative I'd be lucky to get a decade out of it. Seems like ammo ammo ammo should be the focus to me at least.

Genuinely curious as everyone has different thoughts .... but if we are realistic with ourselves, why buy anything BUT ammo right now? Seems like ammo ammo ammo should be the focus to me at least. The few reasons that I've bought things besides ammo is ... 1) Good price now on what I want vs an inflated price later : If the previous panics including the '94 to '04 AWB and what the panic at Y2K have taught me anything it's that guns will be always be available, but that you'll have to pay a wildly inflated price for what you want. I'm generally not willing to pay that price, so I got the PTR while the getting is good. It's like buying gas on the black market in the Soviet Union, it's always there ... but you may not want to pay that much for it. Better to just get it now. 2) Genuine need : Except for a total ban on handguns or guns that aren't chipped/using ' Smart Gun' technology pistols like the Walther PPS M2 aren't in danger, but I had a genuine need for a single stack pocket pistol. 3) Buying what might be banned later for male relatives : I'm pretty sure it would take the ' Deleter of the Free World' a bit of work into her presidency to get a mag ban/' Assault Weapons' ban going. Don't think she could do an illegal executive order on domestically produced semi-auto guns and actually have it stick. Who knows what could happen once the disease process has started though. So buying a couple lowers to slowly build my nephews a couple AR's so that they're in hand makes sense to me though. Two lowers in the hand are worth 4 at the store. Other than that I'm buying ammo, ammo and more ammo since I have the mag situation mostly sorted out. There will almost certainly be somewhat of a panic before the election and if the liar gets in office that'll just explode into unprecedented levels. 4) Better mag pile : I wanted a slightly better mag pile and I'm pretty sure prices and availability won't get better. So it more boils down to me getting a few things because of a probable increase in price and from a poor availability standpoint from the panic itself rather than from Hillary probably trying to dick with the 2A through EO's and with corrupt legislation. She'll do that too, but all that takes time.

I just want to barf thinking about all the bullshit and rhetoric we are going to have to endure for the next 6 months. Then 4 more years of deadlocked congress, fearmongering, and the further division of our countrymen. How bout everyone shuts up for a year and stops screaming at each other on the news and Internet. Holy shit it's exhausting and no one benefits.

See, that's the thing though ... Half the country just want to live their lives and be left alone and the other half won't let them. They want to tax them to death and give that money to people who won't work, they want them to surrender their arms completely (the mask is off now, they're talking about confiscation and just throwing ' Australian' in front of it in an effort to make it more appealing ... It's not working). California is already confiscating guns from people and in terms of gun control what happens there first usually spreads to the rest of the country. They believe that your kids belong to the state to brain-wash how they please. You may disagree with them forcefully, but your kids won't. They refuse to teach them about the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the American Revolution and they've replaced it with ' Heather has two mommies' and essays on Sharia Law. They want the right to dissect their babies right up until the moment of birth when it would be able to live outside the womb on its own because they don't want the responsibility of caring for that child and they were too lazy to go get an abortion within the first trimester. They want open borders where the US is no longer a sovereign nation. They want American citizenship to be meaningless by shipping as many foreigners in as possible at a time when half of all Americans are unemployed and on state or federal aid. At least 92 million Americans are no longer working and those are just the ones they can count. Many have lost government assistance altogether because they were looking for too long and are presumably living with friends and relatives and aren't counted within that 92 million. We're about to see an economic collapse. Only the blind cannot see the writing on the wall. Food shortages, looting and economic collapse are coming to America. They want men in the girls restroom and girls in the men's restroom in an attempt to cater to 0.2% of the population who suffer from the mental disorder of gender dysphoria rather than offering treatment. There's a culture war going on in the US right now and there are so many different aspects to it that I could literally be talking into this mic that converts talk into text for hours and still not cover some of it. Yeah, it's exhausting to see that shit for years and years with no end in sight. It beats what's coming though when the whole thing collapses Venezuelan-style or we start shooting each other in a second civil war. One or the other is coming next.

First of the ammo got here (1,000 rds of 9mm PMC and 520 rds of 5.56 - 500 rds of Wolf Gold brass 55 grain FMJ and 20 rds of Israeli Military Industries 69 grain BTHP that I intend on murdering some hogs with) and the last of the mags (6 CZ-75 Compact Mec-Gar's).
Two more weeks and getting the exact same amount of ammo. That's it for mags though, I'm good. Somewhere between 9 and 30 mags for all my duty sized pistols.
Even in a best case scenario the ammo will still get used.

Alright, I've initiated Operation Boolit Blitz. I ordered 500 of Wolf .223, and will continue to order 500 of Wolf per month until the elections OR until all the ammo is gone because because everbody else is ALSO doing what I'm doing. That will give me a few thousand more of blastin' ammo (give or take), which will set me up for a few years of routine use, and I can squeak it out for a long time if legislation makes things more...difficult.
At internet prices that means I'll be spending around $125/month on my stock up, which equals about one extra 12 hour shift at the ER per month. Silly not to do this while the stuff is available for reasonable prices, right?

I'll be talking with the ONLY store on the island that sells ammo when I'm up there this June and asking them about bulk orders of ammo. Wish I could order on-line, but no one ships retail ammo to Alaska.
