I would like to make a bulk purchase at .05 cents a round. I probably won't buy in any quantity until I can find 10 or 20K at that price. I've just been buying it here and there as it becomes available. The stuff I found yesterday for $0.05 cents a rd ($50.87 for 1k rds and with tax/out the door at $55.07) is just Winchester M-22 bulk packed stuff. Outside of very occasionally finding prices like that or getting .22 ammo thrown in on trades from people who got it cheap it seems like the new low is 6-8 cents a rd from the events of Nov and Dec 2012. I won't go past 9 cents a rd for anything but match ammo, but just saying if you're waiting til you see 5 cents a rd for a bulk ammo purchase with the impending election coming and everything you might be waiting a really long time.

My gut instinct is to stock up on ammo and mags. But,I need to go thru my stash first and see where I'm at.I have a few projects I want to do and have a very tight gun budget. Short list: diy d-cell "solvent trap",.300 blk "pistol", PTR 91, S&W shield, and g17 with alg 6 second mount.

Oh crap you're right OM - I gotta get my upper to GBM so he can put the 300BLK barrel on it, I spaced over the holidays - but that needs to get done so I can look into .308 loading...
I'll forget about this by tomorrow, I guarantee it.

That's cool. I got like 3 cases in the back room, no rush.

Well I bought a gem tech outback IID and a liberty mystic yesterday... Last week I bought a few more mags and a couple magpul 25 rd 308 mags for a rifle I don't own yet. My sbr is approved and out for engraving.
Mostly waiting for psa 308 lower to come in stock and then I need to walk away from the table. Trying to buy a house this year, and I need to focus cash that route.
I feel good on ammo and mags, but will probably get more ammo anyway.

29 weeks until the elections.
So if I buy two mags once a week, make a few good ammo purchases, get that Glock .45 and put together that 9mm AR I'll be in pretty good shape. Much better than I was in 1994.
Picked up two Glock 23 mags yesterday, so that makes 7 G23 mags and 2 G22 mags with X-Grip adapters for my new to me custom G23. So 5 more mags and then switch to buying something else.
Hopefully this is all for nothing, but I don't think so.

I'm buying the usual, at the usual pace. Mostly because i only have so much cash to play with at any given time.
If i find a buyer for my AK and its gear, i'll probably invest in a bulk ammo order.

I'm pretty well stocked on supplies for now and need to redo my bug in stuff that is expiring. Still looking at a plate carrier and plates, but for some reason I just can't get myself to buy one.
I do have a third BOL coming online in PA (friend purchased a farm) so I need to do some redistribution of supplies. Maybe take up some things to cache such as lighters, extra water filter, extra knives, etc.
