I'm just saying these things merit watching and it hot here. And I don't feel well. Of note, there were alot of people 'not feeling well' on the opening episode of Fear the Walking Dead as well... Get to feelin' better, bro!

Yeah, I make it a point to watch their stuff...why? So I can understand them, and hate them the way I do...and so I can't claim "innocence". Most of us hide ourselves from these horrors (read: truth), so our reactions are levied to the extent that they should be. "WE" (Americans as a whole), need to come to terms with our adversaries...and the only way to do that is to see the truth, no matter how hard it may be...

I'm still going off the preps I made after Zimmerman.
Food for three months - check Water - check Guns - check Mags - check Multiple fire extinguishers - check Medical gear and making sure our prescriptions are all in one place - check Spare loaded mags in the vehicles - Check Having all our deeds, diploma's and other important documents together - check Old family photos and discs of our new ones - check Stored gas to get to bug out location - check
At this point it's more a matter of rotating all the stuff and keeping it together.
Seems like every summer some member of the protected class gets shot by the police and there's the possibility of riots. Now I know how my parents felt in the 60's (minus the free love, tie-dye and low grade weed of course).

Solid list, B35. I really need to spend 1/2 day getting important documents consolidated, backed up, copied, safely stored, etc. Not NEARLY as much fun as stacking and restacking mags and ammo, but inarguably more important. I could tell you exactly where a copy of important document 'X' is at if asked, but I need to do better. My storage is pretty haphazard, and not the least bit user friendly.
After my dad died, my family got an Important Information list together for each of us, including where bank and retirements accounts were at, employer contact information, insurance information and the like. I need to revisit those lists, and start including passwords for online banking and such. As a general prep, it makes things a LOT easier on next of kin if they don't have to go searching through shoeboxes full of documents to figure out finances and such. Ask me how I know...

A collection of important documents is critical to have pulled together, whether in a physical folio in the bookcase, or as digital scans. I think i've mentioned it here before; we have all our important documents scanned and loaded on multiple thumb drives with a simple encryption program ( truecrypt, nobody uses it anymore since it turned out to be not THAT good, but it blocks casual viewing at least). I made several copies, one is in a safe deposit box at my parents house, the other is in our bob kit. There are lists everywhere of what you should have scanned and available, so i won't go into that. But get it done, sooner rather than later. I also have every family pic scanned and stored as well. That was a summer-long project, but ultra-worth it if the house ever gets destroyed... just do it.

^ See, we're not that well prepared in that area. Just slightly above average. We just collected everything we would need to get jobs in a different town or state (diploma's, certifications, resume's), all our old pics on film and new ones on several discs, the web address and passwords for my photo accounts, our wedding video, enough money to be able to rent a small apt or trailer for first & last months rent in case a tornado obliterated our house. Got a lot of decent ideas from this site. www.theplacewithnoname.com/blogs/klessons/index.htmlAfter reading that website it came to me that self-reliance and preparedness isn't all shooting Norwegian and Tanzanian soldiers here on the UN's behalf to strip us of our rights and screaming ' Wolverines'. So begrudgingly we started preparing for the more likely shit for us. Tornadoes, car trouble, fires and whatnot.

Dude, that site, and his blog "surviving katrina" was my wake-up call. I drove relief supplies down to the city after the storm, and the impact of it really got me thinking. His blog got me moving!
That was when i started prepping.
Great, GREAT reference.

Yeah, for being organized and bugging out with a family and for life afterwards in perhaps a different city if your home is destroyed and/or it's simply impossible to return home (because that area is unsustainable) that site is the best. Since most of us have families we should probably have our own version.

11 police officers shot. 5 murdered.
Summer of Rage yet?
BLM of hate and terrorist group yet?
4 in a coordinated attack wearing armor, LBG, and using tactics.
Where did they learn this? Who were they and what group were they a member of?
There is war upon us.

Oh and Obama said this is only possible because of powerful weapons on the street. That's the only reason.

Oh, by the by, last summer was 'rage'. This summer is 'chaos'.
Not my words. Their words.
Just because you're not a war doesn't mean they're not at war with you. Oh, they're not? 5 cops dead, 6 in critical.
