My employer prohibits firearms--I don't like it, but it does make sense, in a lot of ways, to keep things that go "bang" away from things that go "boom." That aside, I do like my job, and it does have much better benefits than my last job (pay among them), so I'm with nxp on risk vs reward. I encourage my interns to be properly and heavily armed ...don't hate

I work in a different state then where i live, so my hopefully coming soon state carry permit is no good in the state i work in. Maryland firearm laws seem to suck.

I have a Roman soldier costume for the Christmas & Easter plays at church.....but I really don't feel too tactical in what's basically a knee-length red dress and open toed sandals.

Damn, I'm boring. No costumes of any kind.

I would've carried at work despite the prohibition, except that here even if you have a CHL you're prohibited from legally carrying in hospitals, nursing homes, jails and prisons and those are all places that we were in and out of all day. Was never actually bodily searched or even wanded ever, but still...
Say we got a call at the prison while one of us had a gun with a permit, if found we'd still end up charged with a felony for bringing it onto the grounds. The Correctional Officers did search the ambulance, but it wasn't like they looked in every cabinet. We even had to leave our cell phones and our pocket knives at the gate after there was a stink (had a CPR in one of the basement cell blocks with stairs and we needed the guys on the engine, so I just pulled out my cell and called them on the Capt's personal cell rather than me telling the CO to call, him getting routed to the prisons dispatch, them calling Fire's dispatch and then finally toning them out...dude acted like I killed someone).

Quick question:
If you pull the trigger and it no go boom do you treat it as a hangfire or give it a tap rack bang?
What if it's with a revolver? Or using reloads. Just curious if its dangerous to do a couple things the way I do them.
Specifically for me the issue is the occasional no boom with my semi autos with cheapo 9mm and my new Taurus .38 only when using my reloads. The reloads Ive fixed using softer Winchester primers and making sure to seat the primer below flush with the case head.
With a pistol I pretty much just do an immediate action or whatever it's called and with my .38 I would open the cylinder slightly, rotate it back and give that round another try in SA, which never failed to fire. The issue was only DA.
Soo..should I be waiting 30sec after every click?
Also good advice on the CC at work everyone, thanks. Decided against it after some more thought.
