OK question time for yall. If you lived where this is going on, how would you conduct daily life like work school shopping ect. They burn a car and it takes out a power pole? They do something then the waters out? Honestly, I don't know. I've never lived in a sho'nuff city before. Half my life has been here on the edge of the family farm, and the other half has been in towns with populations between 500 and 10,000. I have friends that live in the "big city" (Mobile, AL....pop. 200,000) and they always say they're coming to my place if the SHTF. Having the occasional hurricane or tropical storm and fairly regular toad-stranglers, you get used to certain roads being closed due to high water/flash floods and the power being out for a few days at a time. Also, to be completely frank, the county I live in is like 85% white and around 10% black, and we've never (at least in my lifetime) had the kind of racial tension I keep hearing about elsewhere on the TV.

Well i never had to deal with what Baltimore is dealing with right now. Where i have lived in small towns or in no town when a small group of people started shit everyone else got up and put a stop to it PDQ. Yes there may be one fist fight but that's normally the most to happen.
Lowkey i would not even get to try your idea because i would never move there in the first place. So i cant really answer my own question. Other then to hold up till its over then move out to a nicer area. BTW Maryland has a bunch of dumb gun laws with mag capacity and something with AR's kind alike New Jersey. So the firearms ideas may be limited. You have to pay money and take a test to get a licence to own or buy a handgun.

They do something then the waters out? Depends on how bad it was and whether we were in the epicenter or the periphery. On the periphery and not too bad probably pull the cars in, fill up the bathtub for even more water besides what's prepped, get even more of the defensive stuff and the fire extinguishers out, take watches where at least one person is up at all times and watching the front. Have the truck all ready to bail with bags, food, certs - diplomas - titles - passports - family pics, ammo, guns to go to a family members house in the country. If it's really bad do all the aforementioned stuff and hunker down for the first night and then bail at 9am the next day when all the looters and rioters are taking a nap from their previous efforts. That's the way it was during the LA Riots. Mornings were kinda quiet and then it would heat up in the afternoon and fully rage when it started to get dark. Even rock throwers, gangsters, protestors and looters have to sleep or crash after doing dope for days Trying to drive through town when there's a full on riot going at 21:00 and the rioters/looters/gangsters are at their highest peak of emotion, alcohol and/drugs when you're the wrong shade with your family and a truck full of valuable stuff sounds like the stuff nightmares are made of. I'd rather take off out of town before it pops off or while they're all asleep after their first night of jacking up the CVS pharmacy and tossing trashcans at paraplegics.

Welp, the 10pm curfew is now in effect......doesn't look like the crowd is in a hurry to disperse and go home.
.....now the odd bottle being thrown at the police line.
.....smoke grenades being tossed. Police line advancing. Line stopped at the intersection.
Reporter dude says there are around 500 LEOs and a thousand or so protestors.
Hard to tell with all the smoke, but it looks like most of the yahoos are moving away.

About the mayor of Baltimore, she totally meant what she said about allowing the rioting g. She gave the police captain a direct order to stand down. I'll find the story, you can't make this up.

I liked how she got indignant with the reporters, and then proceeded to say she didn't say the very words that everyone in the English speaking world clearly heard her say.

And to repost my bookface status from a day or 2 ago:
Some days I wish we could send the spirit of Chief Greenburg to visit some of these "Peaceful protests" **Hugo's aftermath** "And there's another picture of Police Chief Reuben Greenberg who's over in South Windermere who's basically saying any looters are going to get shot as opposed to thrown in jail,"

Well now.....If this account gets any traction, Baltimore won't make it through the weekend. Would be ironic as hell if true (no way of finding out til someone investigates it) but I'm going to bet it doesn't. Doesn't fit the narrative. Look at that ' Hands UP, Don't Shoot' bullshit. That turned out to be a blatant lie and I've seen some of the protestors/rioters doing that motion in Baltimore as though it were valid. Why bother in trying to find out the truth one way or the other and see if the police officers involved even did anything when you have media inspired victim hood?
