And most people in the area are saying " it's about fucking time". I work in MD and have a few co workers that did live or have family/friends that are living in Baltimore shitty. There is all kinds of talk at work about the gov said let them destroy stuff and how the gov said it is outsiders coming in and how others say that's a load of crap ect ect.
Everyone is very critical of the riots saying it makes people look bad,how it is not helping. Black folks i work with say a black guy kills a black guy every hour there. Then this and it is a big thing that keeps getting worse and worse for the people that live there. Also it looks bad for people traveling to the shitty for the Oriels games, Ravens games and so on. Some ask how bad the tourism will be affected if it keeps going like it is.
All i say is Baltimore shitty can keep it me and mine from this small farm town don't want it. BTW i an 1 and 1/2 hours , 91 miles drive from there. Close to my state capital so if the planed a road trip it may come this way. Though i figure they will go south to D.C. area.

Mayor just announced a 10PM to 5AM curfew. 15 police officers injured so far.

OK question time for yall. If you lived where this is going on, how would you conduct daily life like work school shopping ect. They burn a car and it takes out a power pole? They do something then the waters out?
What do i think the people doing the damage will do is blame the city for letting it happen then blame them for not fixing it right away.

Well, the wife and I would still be going to work, and I would probably not be doing any shopping, period. Go to work, come straight home, go to work, etc. Live on preps, which should last for the few weeks it should take for the majority of the stupidity to die down. I don't know how public safety works in periods of extended, but localized, riots. All hands on deck? Regular staffing and manpower (since it's not the whole city effected, just discrete areas), but rotate personnel in and out of the hot spots at regular intervals to rest and refit? Fires really eat up personnel, but that's only if you're actually trying to save the structure and/or rescue occupants. If you're willing to write off a few buildings and just protect things in place (assuming commercial structures which are closed after hours anyway), you can do that with a lot fewer trucks. I suspect there would be a lot of protecting in place and rotation of personnel. We might end up calling in extra shifts and staffing reserve trucks, but maybe not.

Local Baltimore Radio in the morning was about the riots well seems fire run rampant still major commuter routes are closed or blocked so some cant make it to work apartment burned down malls closed some people's place of work are closed or destroyed . One guy called in said last night he was at work and they attacked his place of work he went home got a machete and stuff then went back to work. He defended his work til others got there to board it up then they stayed to fend off more looters. When he was on phone with radio station more tried to get in so he said hang on then defended work place then got back on the phone.
Sent from my phone early in morning so please excuse typos

I find the burning down of the senior center a classy touch.

Rant in coming:
No this isn't a protest. No, they're not frustrated with the guy dying and it "just got out of hand." Bullshit, these folks (no matter color) want to destroy stuff. There is no logical explanation for looting a CVS that had nothing to do with what happened. IF you really cared about that guy you'd be filling up the lobby of the police station asking what happened. The only thing they care about is destruction and stealing, you've failed in raising your kids, you've fail in providing an appropriate example for good behavior and you've failed in educating them. You're giving them cover and excuses but saying things are "just getting out of hand." Stop it. Call it like it is: thuggery. It's high time you took responsibility for your community and you need to start calling the bad actors out.
Or not, it's your community and you have to live there, not me. Because that's not going to happen to mine. NOPE.
/rant.

OK question time for yall. If you lived where this is going on, how would you conduct daily life like work school shopping ect. Well, I'd make a quick dash down to the local Uhaul place, rent a big-ass truck, then back home to load up all my stuff to move out of town. While packing I'd list my home with a good real estate agent.
