Wow, that guy showed 1000% more restraint than I would have. I'd have gotten busy about 20 seconds in.
That was traditional Karate. Hard centerline punches. If the other guy hard worked on his fight science as much as he worked on his stupid gestures, he may have had a chance.
Anyway, I'm not a big fan of Karate because they hold their hands way too low focusing on protecting their mid level. That said, it worked really well for him, he should have given him a few more doses.

Yeah, that guy was way more patient than I am. I would've been punching him in the face, gouging his eye out and stomping his head flat way before that.
He did exactly what he was supposed to do legally speaking though. I don't ever let anyone get that close to do the stare down-chest to chest thing though. With someone that close if/when they go for a sucker punch you don't have time to react. Plus it's coming anyway, might as well be the one to get the first hit

Just watching the video in SC the minute he placed his arms up blocking the guy in you'd be justified in defending yourself. In England, I have no idea. After about 30 seconds the guy should have realized there was no resolution apart from knocking the guy out and just done it. The guy was blocking him, not being reasonable or rational.
It was funny all those people just standing there, ummm, help the guy out or at least support him? Then after he knocks the guy silly they cheer and the guy shuts the door to his garden. Really? Come on. I'd have jumped over and helped the guy, in not for anything else than to intimidate the guy.
I don't like bullies.
