Hey computer gurus, any way to go about deleting all my ZS posts without having to do it individually/ I'm done there and want to be off the record. Not without admin privileges. Could maybe script a bot to do it, but it'd be tedious... What about putting yourself on your own foe list, then you wont see them, and It'd be like it was deleted? A new feature called "Self-Loathing"? I like it!

Tried it, to see what would happen...
"You cannot add yourself to the foes list."

Yup, you'd need admin privilege most likely. Also if someone quotes you, it's part of their post and you can't modify it. Sorry.

Nameless, Here's a few quick questions for you..
1- What do you suggest as a replacement for TrueCrypt for the folks that use linux. 2-What do you think of the Smartpage search engine regarding it's claims of privacy? 3- How about Smartmail? I'm thinking of migrating there from gmail.
That crap with Hickock45's 'tube account has me rethinking how much of me I want swimming in Goggles pond.

Nameless, Here's a few quick questions for you.. 1- What do you suggest as a replacement for TrueCrypt for the folks that use linux. TrueCrypt went on to become BitLocker used by Windows and I think Macs. Here's a good link for unix (hence linux) type encryption: www.diablotin.com/librairie/networking/puis/ch06_06.htm2-What do you think of the Smartpage search engine regarding it's claims of privacy? Smartpage is pretty good in that it doesn't collect information and encrypts data. They still want cookies which never makes me happy. Also they are certified by some decent organizations.
3- How about Smartmail? I'm thinking of migrating there from gmail. I'm not familiar with smartmail. Guess I need to be I'll look into this one. That crap with Hickock45's 'tube account has me rethinking how much of me I want swimming in Goggles pond. First thing, I would recommend everyone use Firefox browser with the NoScript plug-in. This prevents scripts running in your browser unless you specifically allow them. This prevents code running on your machine that you don't want. Plus the added bonus of loading pages faster since it doesn't allow ads to load. If you really want to be safer, install a virtual machine (VM) and once you have it configured the way you like, turn on the property that doesn't allow it to be modified. So if someone was to attack, they would be attacking the VM. Once you restart the VM, all their efforts are gone since it starts with the original configuration.

Curious thing, I've been trying out smartpage today and I'm noticing it's faster then goggles.

Another good add on - for shock value - is "Lightbeam" : Lightbeam is a Firefox add-on that enables you to see the first and third party sites you interact with on the Web. Using interactive visualizations, Lightbeam shows you the relationships between these third parties and the sites you visit.
See just where you are connected and how...

Well, that would just be a big bag of fun. As I understand it, the control systems at the different power plants are anything but standardized, and each company uses different PLC systems to control the energy grid, so an attack would be more likely to take down one provider than several (sce&g OR tva, but not both) Or am I completely wrong in this? In other words, it couldn't be one virus - it would have to be an attack of dozens or even hundreds of very specifically written viruses, across dozens of different operating systems and networks. Not impossible, but not as likely as taking down one system. Or am I missing something here?
