I dunno, seems like the Military holds these trials periodically and then doesn't do anything with it. 'Okay, thanks for coming and presenting your designs but we're gonna stick with what we have...bye bye now'.
They did that in in 2011 looking at other rifles besides the M4.

Wow. Love their gear. I guess the PDW as a sidearm is more feasible than I thought. What's with the AR style rifles? Dont they use G36's?

Anyone that has a choice, doesn't use the G36. Those are Hk AR 10s. If I had to guess, they're some sort of German SF. Or posers.

Seeing as how staged that shot is with the weapons easily high lighted and prominently displayed (why camo/shadow everything out except the bright tan HK's?) I'd go with the second. FWIW, that looks like a standard 556 HK AR in the background vs the AR10 in the foreground. I vote HK marketing. |
