With the firing of the director of the FBI, I would be willing to let Trey take up the office even though that would be another loss for our state.

Clark would be another good pick, simply because he's not interested in playing games with enforcing the law and he seems to have a very deep respect for the Constitution.
Put another way, Trey as Attorney General with Clark as FBI Director would have been a dream team.

Trey Gowdy not seeking re-election.
Despite him saying he doesn't want another political office I wish he would consider taking either Attorney General or Director of the FBI. Both positions need someone of his caliber and integrity. |
