OK, for those that don't live in Charleston, these guys are out at the battery all the time. Whenever I have friends come to town I take them down there since it is a nice view of the harbor and in general is a nice place to go. I have to explain to my friends all the time that they have a right to do what they are doing since they are not physically accosting anyone, just talking about their organization in a polite manner. I'd like to throw a Bravo to Nikki for the way she is handing evacuations for Hurricane Matthew. She is not just knee jerk telling everyone to run. They are watching the models and time frames before declaring mandatory evacuations. Example, Beaufort and Charleston counties got the first call, now they are getting ready to issue for Georgetown and Myrtle Beach. They reversed the flow of I26 eastbound to allow more traffic out of Charleston. We had several drills the past 2 years for the state police to practice and coordinate with locals PDs on the reversal process.

I had a few write ins, mostly because the (R) running sucked and I refuse to vote (D).  Lets see, I voted for Mickey Mouse for state house 15, because I trust him more than the slimy (R) running or the (D) against. Voted to replace the 9th circuit solicitor (With the Dorchester Cnty Solicitor lol)and wrote in some random guy from facebook that wanted to soil and water (it's unpaid) and I like his background (Berkeley Blueways).... |
