Recently painted some gunz with the new duracoat aerosol 2-in-1 can. Pretty sweet, but pricey. I will say it was a bit runny. Much more so than their shake-n-bake line. Overall, I do like the finished product...despite some sloppiness. I also like the sweet color lineup for the aerosol line. I wish the bake-on offered more colors. Speaking of...I did an AR and P226 with combat gray. Also touched up the old burned up PSA barrel with Brownell's alumnahyde semi-gloss black. Nice product. I did bake it on and I really like the results. Cheap, too. I have some FDE ready to go for some glocks. Now, I love this other color. Swedish K green. Totally sweet. I did a maverick 88 (my hunting shotgun) and 2-toned my P14-45 with it and the alumnahyde semi-gloss black. The swedish k has a bit more brown than OD green, but greener than, say, WWII OD with a tint of gloss. Might have to do an AR with this one. pics...

Nice I did the shake N bake FDE Duracoat on some guns, its holding up well bit is runny like you said. My rattle-can jobs hold up pretty well, too.

That PTR-91 is in that Swedish K green. The previous owner did it. I really like it, it's a little different from the norm but not in a funky sort of way.

I'm thinking an AR in swedish k green with black furniture would look very sharp. Great looking PTR!

Good looking paint jobs, gents. If you're experiencing the runs (paint runs, that is...), you would never know it from the pics.
My buddy Arch is getting into painting guns, and he's doing some pretty cool stuff. He's using an automotive Krylon which evidently is pretty durable but not so much that you can't strip it back off if you screw up the first pass.
I'm going to let him get all the practice on his stuff, then have him walk me through putting a M41A pulse rifle scheme on my Buttmaster. The green you guys are using would be a good base for that by the looks of your pictures.

Dig that Swedish K, man. I might need to get some. Not sure it's much different than the Krylon camo paint I have on my car gun. I should get pics up...

Christmas came early in the MD household. My dad is getting on in years, and decided to sell me his collection. Some of them, by agreement, I am selling, but a few will be around for me to hand down to my kids. Thought you might like to see a few of them.

My favorite AR - BCM upper w/20" inch chrome lined 1/7 barrel - MI Gen.1 SS Series FF Rail - Vltor/BCM Gunfighter Charging Handle - LaRue SPR/M4 LT-104 Mount & Rings w/ Trijicon Accupoint TR22G Scope - Harris bipod (HBRS) 6"-9" Standard legs & RotaPod (RBA-1) rotating quick detachable bipod adapter - Vickers CAS (Streamlight TLR-1 HL goes on it when I'm going hunting, but it won't fit into the rifle slots in my safe with it attached - not shown) Noveske 16" 1/7 Light Reece Basic with Trijicon TA-33 w/Green Horseshoe Reticle ACOG - BCM GunFighter Mod 2 grip - GG&G BUIS - Impact Weapons Components Mount-N-Slot w/ EagleTac T100C2 Cree LED light - MagPul MOE fixed stock - VTAC sling PSA 10.5" 1/7 pistol with Midwest Industries front sight and MagPul rear. This pistol has since been changed into a different configuration (still kinda cool as a simple gun). Group sucked with the AR pistol there as this was literally my first time firing it and because of the bench I was forced into a wonky position due to the overhead cover to keep people from shooting over the berm, to short of a chair, too tall of a bench, a 30 rd mag to make it even taller....friggen comedy of errors RRA LAR-15 NM A4 20" inch 1/8 barrel - Ron Brown Sling - a 3-9x40 Trijicon Green Mil-Dot Accupoint periodically goes in place of the NM carry handle/sight [not shown] - black Ergo grip (that's actually getting swapped with the A2 grip on the BCM/PSA Franken-gun at the very top here in a minute) Loaner hog gun for when friends/family show up without a rifle - PSA upper and lower with FN contract 18" inch 1/8 twist barrel - MagPul ACS Stock - Knights Armament M4 RAS rail - Primary Arms Micro Dot w/American Defense mount - MBUS rear sight - Added since : VTAC light mount with Streamlight [not shown]
