I think everyone here is a self proclaimed 9x19 lover. Best defensive caliber IMO and the thought that it wont do the job has never once crossed my mind. Good CCW choice! (I realize its a rifle lol)

I'm a 9x19 owner/supporter because I'm a cheap bastard that can't justify the dosh for a proper shouldered handgun cartridge.
Nah, modern 9x19 is more than adequate in a package I afford to shoot often enough to practice with.
(Still love me some shouldered cartridges for autos)

Much love for the 9MM here. I'm a fan of 45ACP as well, but I jumped the cartridge a while back since I can practice 50% more with 9MM and don't subscribe to the ACP mantras of "Shooting twice is stupid" or "because they don't make a .46" or ".45 will knock them down." That shit makes me fucking cringe, and lose respect for a lot of .45 shooters who actually buy into this shit.
On the note of that Sub2K, I think PDWish weapons are cool as hell. I don't really get PCC's that much, but stuff like MP7's and P90's just give me massive gunwoodys. I really wish more stuff was with these crazy intermediate cartridges and didn't require crazy stamps and shit to own.

Well, the PCC has its' benefits and drawbacks. Inside of 100 meters, I doubt there is much difference in the end result, between being shot with a 9mm out of a 16" barrel, and being shot with a rifle cartridge. You are still hurting really bad. Beyond that, yes, the rifle cartridge wins hands down. But, from a punch - per - pound standpoint, a 4 pound Sub2k, running the same mags as my carry handgun, and zipping +P rounds out at 1350-1500fps, pretty much is what I would call "acceptable".
Is it my SHTF weapon? Probably not. But it seems pretty happy riding around in the trunk of my car. (or in my backpack)

I'm over here player hating on Gingerbread's Glock game. Out of freaking control. Got a few new pics of the AR now that the correct stock is on it. This thing is the most comfortable stock I have ever used. No expert my any means, but it is mushos excellente. I need to get rid of the ACS in my ..22 and get another for it. A little detail shot of the business end of my B5 handguard. The light is pushed past it with a rail length designed to connect to 4 Keymod slots, but only attaches by the rear two. My hand fits perfectly in between the VFG and built in handstop and puts my thumb by the TLR1s switch. Thanks again Tony! Detail shot of the stipple job on my grip. Did it just where my right hand ends up. It was one of the first things I ever stipples, and evidently I thought my middle finger is square. I'm loving this AR ownership game. I can't wait to get my ass into a carbine course!

That skinny forend looks good on the AR RTF. Know what it reminds me of? Remember that movie ' Escape From New York'? The skinny forend looks exactly like the futuristic M-16 that the ' United States Police Force' is armed with that ' Snake Plissken'/Kurt Russell gets the offer from to go in and get the President. Thought those were cool as hell when I was 8 or 9. --- You never owned an AR before? ----------- Pics of the Walther PPS with the rubber version of the Talon grips and the DeSantis pocket holster Tony sent me. W/7 Rd mag in it Current EDC minus my Leatherman and subtracting the 6-Rd mag in the pic which just snuck its way in The awesomeness that is having 7 mags total for the Walther PPS when they cost so damn much - That's the 6-Rd flush mag in there. Next up I ordered this belt from Bull Hide Belts in an inch and 3/4's quarters width. Bullhide Black Creased Edge Leather Belt (*Click*)Almost bought a black Galco SB5 Sport belt as I've wanted one of those for awhile, but it doesn't have the crease present on the edges that I've apparently become accustomed to. Looks plain without it. Minor thing and kinda stupid really, but if I'm going to pay that much for a belt I have a right to be picky. The inch and 1/4 black uniform belt that I have now was almost $40 4-5 years and it's seen better days. One of these days I'm going to get one of the 1 and 3/4's inch fancy stitched Galco in tan and get a tan OWB pistol holster for a back up hog hunting pistol. My dad had some of those belts in the 70's and 80's for pistol hunting, back up hunting/hiking pistols and IPSC and they were awesome. I'd give up a lot to have all of his leather.

Woo hoo my excess gear is getting put to good use. Nice Walther, Browning. Those mag prices are a bitch, huh? 229-1 mags kill me but luckily I found MecGar ones for $30 locally.
RTF, that HL is a TLR1s, I just disabled the strobe. It tells you how to turn it back on in the manual. My carbine light has strobe, though. I just like one power level and mode in defensive lights.

B35: I loved the Escape from NY/LA movies in a perfectly cheesy fashion. Those almost look like prop department assembled them without gas tubes, hand guards and associated hardware. Hilarious.
This is my first AR. I've owned an M&P 15-22 for some years and used to shoot the hell out of it, but this is my first big-kid AR. About dammed time.
Tony, I think it's a matter of time before every member can spot something they owned in every other members gun pics. I figured the HL was ten-tap programmed. Probably just leave it as-is. I have a handheld for strobing things if need be.

Woo hoo my excess gear is getting put to good use. Nice Walther, Browning. Those mag prices are a bitch, huh? 229-1 mags kill me but luckily I found MecGar ones for $30 locally. Yeah, Walther PPS mags are kind of spendy. For the most part they're between $46-$56 in local stores and $40 to $46 and change at Midway and related large-ish type gun stores on the net. Found them at Buds for $32.09 and got a 6-rd and a 7-rd mag. Compare that to a Glock or a BHP mag that are basically a little over $20 all day long without even trying and sometimes 10-20% off. ======== Besides the Talon grips, mags, another holster and more ammo to feed this thing to get even better at running a sub-compact I'm also looking at replacing the sights on the Walther PPS. Problem is there aren't that many options for the PPS alone, stock Walther sights, Meprolight, XS Big Dot, Trijicon Night Sights and that's pretty much it for sets. On the other hand there are quite a few made for the Walther PPQ which is apparently interchangeable with the PPS (I'm trying to confirm that). The 10-8 looks like the best to me followed by the XS Big Dot. Of course the 10-8 is out of stock, so I'm emailing them. Also looking as Dawson and I've emailed them as well. This is all 2-3 months off and is going to be a gradual project, but here are the options I have.. My ideal is a high visibility front night sight in preferably green or orange and a completely blacked out rear ' U'. I hate combination 3-dot sights. Walther PPQ Rear Sight - $48.75 (*Click*)www.dawsonprecision.com/CategoryProductList.jsp?cat=SIGHTS+REAR:Walther+Rear+Sights^ My Stock Sights^ ^ XS Big Dot ^ ^XS Big Dot on PPQ (L) & PPS (R)^ ^Dawson Precision FO on PPQ w/10-8 Rear^ ^Meprolight Front w/10-8 Rear^ ^Trijicon NS on Walther PPS^ ^Trij NS Walther PPQ^ ^Meprolight Front & Rear NS^ When you include the PPQ sights which supposedly fit then there's a decent number of choices.
