Might just be me, but I think you may want to re-think your camo pattern given your AO.

On a serious note, to my eyes OD ahs always done a better job blending into the PNW woods. Particularly if the garments have been washed a few times and faded just a touch.
*fake edit*
I wonder how it would turn out if one were to take a pair of just slightly faded OD BDUs and try some modified asymmetrical tie-dye techniques with slightly darker and lighter shades of green and gray, with maybe a splash of brown...sort of like a poor man's home brew of ATACS woodland/forest?

What!?! Actually going out and testing your bug-out gear! How dare you, this is the internet!!!
Tony, that is awesome. Good job getting out with your kit. I would say that is more than 99% of the "expert" blowhards over at the "other board" ever do. And don't worry about the desert gear, once they get diry and muddy they will blend right in

Tony - where's the snow brother? How I miss that green...
Lowkey - Hands down one of my favorites for when the leaves start to drop up here is the old chocolate chip pattern. You'd think that all the tan would be like "HELLO!", but the combo of the darker brown and salt/pepper really blends the whole mess into the underbrush as well as the up in the tree. How I wish someone would release the old 6 color desert in Goretex....

Thanks guys. Glad you enjoyed the pics. Ill be doing a similar hike later in the week when my plates come in wearing my PC and see how that goes, Ill be testing my woodland Gore Tex that day, too. Ill post some photos after. Lowkey- I think that dye job on some OD pants would be cool, maybe something like monkey did with that Magpul stuff. My girlfriend knows how to tie dye stuff, maybe Ill let her give it a go. I've dyed ACU stuff before with mixed results. The blouse and trousers came out well but I completely ruined a Massif muscle shirt, which sucked. I still have one in Multicam, though. Omega- Not gonna lie that was the first time I ever really did that, but it was a lot of fun I think Ill be doing it a lot more often in the future. Like I said above we have another trip up there planned later this week so stay tuned. Nxp- No snow this far south my friend. We are only a couple hours from California. .northern Oregon snows quite a bit, though. The eastern half of the state is actually desert and looks a lot like Arizona, so my desert gear will work well a couple hours east. I think the chocolate chip would work well out there, too. I really wish they'd make some modern MOLLE gear in woodland, and ACU cut tops and bottoms in woodland (I need patches on my shit ), I love that pattern.

If you're going to dye your gear, make sure you dye your dog as well. You two are kind of wearing matching patterns... I dyed some beat up woodland utilities for a Colonial Marines (Aliens) costume I made. I just used black RIT dye. Turned out pretty cool. I only wore it a few times though, so I can't attest to how long the dye holds up. Pic... On topic, the rifle shown is an M41A pulse rifle, with over and under 30mm pump action grenade launcher. Fires 10mm explosive tipped casesless ammuntion, standard light armor piercing rounds.

Nice costume! Bravo, sir. Picture for the rules:
Edited to add to this post: It's a polymer-hybrid lower I'm checking out--SMoAF over at ZS asked me to do a review, and it sounded like fun. I think I'm gonna paint the upper to match. I can give my review here too, if y'all are interested at all. It assembled really nicely, FWIW. Also, I understand completely. I don't know why it makes me nervous, but it does.

Straight and off the trigger, homes, straight and off the trigger... Monkey, nice lower. Some day I'll jock up and start painting my AR's and Glocks, but today is not that day.

Totally 100% personal preference but I painted my PSA a few times and I will NEVER paint another gun unless it's Cera or Dura coat. Stripping the paint off is an absolute pain in the ass and I was never able to get all the paint from the crevices. I ended up parting the gun out at a pretty significant financial loss. I've been selling or trading all my painted mags, too.
Never. Again.
I heard Glock frames take spray paint like shit, by the way.

Yeah, no more paint for me either. Did a Chinese SKS in a Flecktarn camo pattern using Brownells Alumahyde II several years ago and then I took it off awhile back and it was a major pain in the ass. Used Formby paint remover and a paint brush to apply the gel to melt it off, a paint scraper, steel wool, a scotch-brite pad, several different types of grit sandpaper and then thick household type gloves, goggles and a mask for protection. Formby is toxic as fuck. Got really, really hot even through the gloves and the paint bubbled up and then melted off, but it still had to be scrapped and rubbed off using quite a bit of elbow grease as it was pretty stubborn. Made my eyes burn from the fumes. Our dog follows us everywhere and she wanted to be over there real bad, this stuff would've melted her paws off if she had of stepped in it though so she wasn't allowed over there and eventually she got it and retreated to a different part of the yard. Alumahyde II just laughed off mineral spirits, paint thinner and regular paint remover though. The paint job started to look dingy though and not in that cool Rhodesian, Iraq or Afghanistan battle-worn kinda way. Just a dingy sort of way. Pic from 2008 About a year ago before melting/scraping it off Pic after getting the paint mostly off, but before the sanding, stain and polyurethane. Also did these two rescue jobs that I got for basically nothing (well...nothing monetary anyway. I did do a lot of work estimating, pricing, sorting, putting up ads and hauling guns/ammo/accessories to the gun show to get them for next to nothing) that were rusting and pitted (had to sand blast them to get it off). Also did several others in gloss black in '08. The paint jobs I did turned out okay for amateur hour. If any of the finish had of been there for the two pistols I would have left them alone, especially that Beretta 1919 .25 ACP. The guy who owned them before was an at home FFL and they were stored in a garage that leaked after he closed his store. He probably only meant to have them in the garage for a short time, but he died from complications from Diabetes and then I helped his widow sort out his collection and the mountain of accessories, ammo, plaques, optics, display cases and so on from both his private stuff and the inventory from his previous store. At any rate next time I want a gun in a different color though I'm probably going with Cerakote in alternating Bronze and black. That's a good look I think. (Not my pic, but a decent representation of the paint job that I eventually want done on one of my AR's). I'm done with paint though.

I like that burnt bronze look, might go with that on one of mine. Actually thought about doing my Sig black and bronze, too. Here's some of my paint jobs. Nothing fancy. I was able to get the lower almost new. Looked good for awhile but I really should've never painted them. Live and learn.

Now that the weather has cooled off a bit, and I am wearing heavier clothing, I figured it was time to upgrade my ccw... Just kidding. But it does work nicely under a jacket. Less than 2 seconds from folded and tucked away, to deployed and ready. Yea, its still "only" 9mm, but it is still better than harsh language.
