For anyone with an MR NICE frame system, one of the crowning complaints for a while was the lack of an honest loadlifter setup. LL's do a lot when you're dealing with very heavy weights on the frame, in addition to stabilizing what's hanging out behind you.
The NICE frame was designed with a 20" frame as a replacement for the old ALICE frame, and while it's built like a brick (well, you know), MR tried to overcome this issue by introducing stays into their packs in order to increase the LL angle. These were found in bags like the 6500, 7500, and Kodiak - but not in the smaller series bags such as the Crewcab and Longbow - which happen to be some of the most popular of the NICE frame bags out there.
Enter Oneiros: Oneiros Vally
They came up with a 1st gen product that actually made lifters for the NICE, and best of all, they were removable! Great for when you're hunting and want a trim, low pack to get under limbs and have unrestricted head movement, and then stick them on when you want to get that heavy load back to camp. They were so popular, that MR actually had to do some damage control and make their own version: and after a good 20min of looking, I can't find them anymore - though it was originally located on their "What's New" section, or their beta projects. They were out there for $60ish, and were only available in two sizes, where the Oneiros Vally kit can adjust.
Well, in response to price, OV released their Gen2 kit, which while adding a little bit due to FG stays over Carbon (which are still an option), the price dropped significantly to $35 smackaroo's. Good deal for those of us with NICE and looking to step into other manufacturer's bags (eg, HPG/Kifaru with some minor mods) while keeping our existing frames.
Check 'em out if you have one.
