"Power to the People!!!!"
Fight the good fight.
Dannus, this may be the time to have a talk with the missus about discretely ignoring the hiring authority on some issues. Risky, I know, but still....."just following orders" and all that. Err on the side of liberty is all I'm saying.

Yeah, she’s got enough time on the department now that she gets fairly liberal as far as “officer discretion” (as in overlooking the minor offenses and flat out ignoring the more eye-rolling BS orders that come down from on high). Plus, she recently got promoted, so she has a little bit more clout as far as the direction she wants her guys and gals to go with things.

They don't have much to do with that cesspool named Chicago. People are sick of having their lives governed by liberals in the larger cities. The same attitude is prevalent in rural parts of California towards Los Angeles and Sacramento.

The same attitude is prevalent in rural parts of California towards Los Angeles and Sacramento. ...and New York, et al. I think that frustration is nationwide at this point. Wouldn't it be interesting if places like California and New York "seceded" from L.A. and N.Y.C., leaving those megalopolis (megalopoli?) as the original "state" while forming a new one....sort of a voluntary version of how West Virginia came to be. While it might not have to great an effect on the lower house, it would create two new seats for each of the new states in the Senate...and as the odds are high that any such spin off state would be rural in character and more than likely not liberal leaning, wouldn't that really throw a monkey wrench into the planned works of the liberal elite...

I'm hoping that this is eventually what happens. People are kind of sick of getting run over and it shows.
The problem is Trump is using this as a way of screwing with issues such as taxes and tax returns. So while we gain is some things, we lose in others. Can't have both currently or something.
