So my renewed interest in knives has led me towards revaluating my EDC and the various accessories that I have.
One thing that I'm really bad about is that I'm gun, ammo and mag heavy, but I have very little as far as the accessories that go with them for some of those guns (I.E. : I'll have the gun, but I won't own a single holster for the thing unless you count those cheap one size fits all Uncle Mike's nylon holsters unless it's something that I've owned for years and years) and I'm somewhat short on all the various EDC stuff that I actually use on a daily basis in comparison.
So I'm looking to change that.
At any rate this thread will be about my efforts to change that and this thread will be about all the various stuff I'm trying out. Feel free to post about any EDC item for good or bad that you have experience with. Knives, holsters, pepper spray, watches, pens, note-pads, belts, sunglasses, multitools...pretty much anything you carry around with you on a daily basis and that improves your life.

To start out with I just bought a few of those 'tactical' pens that feature the refillable inserts (like the Fisher space pen insert) along with either a small pen light and or a glass breaker.
These are the ones I bought.
3 of these ...
Tungsten Steel Tactical Pen for Glass Breaker and Self defense Mutifunctional Emergent Tool (Tungsten Steel, Black)
www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01ABT7Z4I/ref=ya_st_dp_summary?ie=UTF8&psc=1
... and 1 of these ...
Tactical Pen Self Defense Weapon | Police, Military, and First Responder Gear | Heavy Duty Professional Grade Aircraft Aluminum | Feel Safe, Stun Atta
Sold by SoCal Merchants
I don't know that I'll ever use the whole glass breaker deal on these pens, but it's better than having some pen that'll just fold in half I guess. I more bought them for the refillable ink inserts with the fact that you might be able to crack a window or jam it in someone as an emergency weapon a distant 2nd and 3rd.

Other stuff I bought besides those are a wallet (the free Maxpedition wallet that I got with the purchase of a backpack for free kinda sucks balls, I typically hate Velcro wallets) and an EDC organizer (so that I'll the shit in my pockets is somewhat neatly organized and in one spot).

Many are going with smaller minimalist wallets, but I've actually gone the other way and my wallets keep getting bigger and bigger. I have a ton of stuff in my wallet and most of it I actually need.
Also bought a new multitool. I've been seeing Hoffman and Richter brand knives around, so I figured I'd give one of their knives or multitools a try. For multitools I have two Leatherman's (one an ancient first design and the other one of their newer models that's only a couple years old) and one no-name brand one that I got for free on EMS day several years ago. Basically made out of cheap plastic and Chinese pot-metal. Near as I can tell the Hoffman Richter brand multitool is somewhere in between those two as far as quality goes.
Hoffman Richter HR-100 13-in-1 Multitool
Sold by SurvivalLife
The plan is if this one is okay is to pair it up with one of those Boker Kalashnikov automatic knives in the automatic knife thread a bit ago and have those two around for work use where they're more likely to get lost, stolen or damaged. That way they're still decent quality and they'll both work, but where I won't cry if something happens to them.
They're also on-sale right now for $18.95.

I also bought one of those Rite in the Rain note-pads. Never tried that papee before. The notes in my phone has largely replaced paper, but I can't write down a phone number while talking on it. So I like having paper on hand.
