I have a '99 model 700 with the Walker trigger. It has two small slotted screws on the front of the trigger block, one for overtravel and one to adjust the tension on the trigger spring. I fiddled with both of them a little bit, a half-a-turn here and there.....but then I noticed while dry firing that every once in a while the gun would "fire" when you flicked the safety off.
So I adjusted the screws back to where they originally were, and put a drop of stupid glue on them (from the factory they had a drop of rubberized cement on them that you could peel off with your finger nail).
ETA: I got the notion after reading an article in one of the gun rags (can't remember which one) where the author wrote about how he had sweetened the trigger on his 700 by adjusting the screws.
