Munich, Germany Shooting: Police Hunt 'attackers'www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-36870874Police in the German city of Munich say the perpetrators of a shooting attack are still on the run, and they advise people to avoid public places. There are reports of at least six people killed, but police have not confirmed that figure.
A big security operation is under way at the Olympia shopping centre in the north-western Moosach district. Shop workers have been unable to leave the building. There is no information about a possible motive for the attack.
The police Facebook page quoted eyewitnesses as saying they had seen three attackers carrying guns. Police are now describing it as "an acute terror situation". Public transport has been suspended as the extensive security operation continues. The city's central railway station has been evacuated.
People stranded by the emergency and unable to get home are being offered shelter by locals. Police helicopters are flying over the city and special forces are involved in the massive police deployment.
The security forces have been on alert after a teenage migrant stabbed and injured five people on a train in Bavaria on Monday in an attack claimed by so-called Islamic State. The authorities had warned of the danger of further incidents.ETA: Lots of confusing initial reports (as usual)..... Don't know if it's ISIS or Neo-nazis.

Looks like it was centered around a McDonald's at a shopping mall.
-Reporting now 5 dead, and possibly one shooter has shot himself.

While it is totally possible that an Iranian German who was (allegedly) saying 'Aloha Snackbar' prior to the shooting was NOT committing an act of radical Islamic terrorism (as the German authorities are repeating over, and over, and over, and...), does anybody else think it would VERY MUCH be in the German governments best interest to makes sure there is the greatest possible ideological distance between this attacker and the hordes of refugees that Chancellor Merkel has let in, REGARDLESS of what the facts may say? "The lady doth protest too much, methinks." Hamlet Act 3, Scene 2 ...
ALSO, the attacker had evidently researched many other 'mass shootings', at least some of which likely occurred in the U.S. Cue the talking heads blaming America's 'gun culture' for the murders in Munich in 3, 2, 1...
