Off-duty police officer fatally shoots home intruder who had argued with him about Black Lives Matter on Facebook:
www.yahoo.com/news/fatal-police-shooting-black-lives-000000007.htmlAn off-duty police officer fatally shot a man who was trying to enter his St. Louis-area home late Saturday afternoon, Missouri officials say. According to police, 20-year-old Tyler Gebhard rang the doorbell at the officer’s Lakeshire, Mo., home shortly before 6 p.m. When the officer’s wife answered the door and refused entry, police said, Gebhard, a former high school football star, threw a 50-pound concrete planter through a rear window and attempted to enter.
St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar said Gebhard was shot twice in the chest by the officer, whose name was not released. Gebhard, who was known to the officer’s family, was rushed to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Belmar said the officer’s wife, mother-in-law, a toddler and an infant were in the home at the time of the incident and that the family members heard the officer tell the intruder to “get down” before shots were fired.
Gebhard’s uncle, Patrick Brogan, told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that his nephew had become acquainted with the officer “through a church connection” and that the two “had been arguing on Facebook about Black Lives Matter.” Brogan added that Gebhard, who was biracial, suffered from bipolar disorder. “Tyler was going over to fight,” Brogan said. “When he got there he was met with a gun and the guy killed him.” Belmar said the officer’s actions were justified. “I don’t think the officer had a choice,” Belmar said. “I honestly don’t.”

Detroit police arrest four for threats against copswww.detroitnews.com/story/news/local/detroit-city/2016/07/11/detroit-police-arrest-four-threats-cops/86930930/Detroit police arrested four men for allegedly threatening on Facebook to kill police officers, police Chief James Craig said Sunday. One of the men reportedly posted: “All lives can’t matter until black lives matter. Kill all white cops.” The arrests of the four African-American Detroiters follow Thursday’s slayings of five Dallas officers by a black sniper during a protest march. The man blamed for the killings and injuries to seven others reportedly told police he wanted to kill as many white cops as possible.....
.....With the ambush of the Dallas officers and calls to kill more cops, Craig said he’s taking seriously the social media threats his staff uncovered. Craig said he plans to contact federal, state and local prosecutors to determine what charges may be brought against the suspects. “Social media is new territory, and while it’s been established that hate speech is protected by the First Amendment, we’re talking about people specifically saying on Facebook they want to kill white police officers,” said Craig, who said the Police Department’s counter-terrorism unit saw the alleged threats while monitoring social media.
"If someone threatens to kill the president, that person would be arrested and prosecuted. How is it any different when someone threatens to kill white cops?” But one legal expert said it’s murky determining where free speech ends and illegal behavior begins. “Certainly, posting that kind of thing on social media is a bad thought,” said professor Larry Dubin of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. “But having a bad thought isn’t necessarily a crime. There are a lot of issues at play here, and I think a lot would depend on what exactly was said.”
One of the Detroit men reportedly posted on Facebook that Johnson was a “hero” for killing the Dallas officers, and added: “He inspired me to do the exact same thing.” Police said another man posted: “It’s time to wage* war and shoot the police first.” The man told people to contact him to organize the effort to shoot officers. The fourth suspect posted pictures and videos of officers being shot on his Facebook wall and wrote: “This needs to happen more often,” according to police.....
....A Louisiana man was accused of posting a video online showing him in his vehicle behind a police car, saying he wanted to shoot and kill an officer. Police say Kemonte Gilmore flashed a handgun in the video and talked about the slayings of Philando Castile in Minnesota and Alton Sterling in Louisiana. In Wisconsin, a man posted calls on social media for black men to gun down white officers, and a woman in Illinois threatened in an online video to shoot and kill any officer who pulled her over, police said.
Legal experts still are grappling with the relatively recent issue of internet threats. “I know this is a new issue, but I want these people charged with crimes,” Craig said of the four men arrested. “I’ve directed my officers to prepare warrants for these four individuals, and we’ll see which venue is the best to pursue charges.”

Burglary at pawn shop part of plot to shoot police officers due to protests
www.wafb.com/story/32429189/police-burglary-at-pawn-shop-part-of-plot-to-shoot-police-officers-due-to-protests?clienttype=genericBaton Rouge Police say a burglary at a pawn shop is allegedly part of a larger conspiracy for an attack against police officers. Officials say investigators learned that at least four men were plotting to violently attack police officers. Part of that alleged plot included breaking into the Cash America Pawn Store on Government Street for guns to commit the crimes.
Three of the four people involved have been arrested and seven of the guns have been recovered. The fourth suspect, however, is still at large. Investigators with the Baton Rouge Police Department responded to a burglary call on Saturday, July 9 at roughly 1:15 a.m. They learned that the alleged burglars broke into the business through the roof and stole nine guns.
One suspect was reportedly arrested at the scene. They say the individual told police that he and at least three others were responsible for the burglary. The source told investigators the men were plotting to use the stolen guns to attack police officers and they were actively seeking bullets to use with the guns. Investigators say no ammunition was recovered but they do not believe any was discovered.
The suspect also told police the plot was due to the officer-involved shooting death of Alton Sterling.

4th generation warfare has been going on for a while. In and outside the US. I don't think blacks want a shooting war with whites. They want whites feeling guilty so they will keep and increase the preferential hiring and the Gov. bennies. The problem with this is whites are collectively giving less and less of a shit about racism. Personally if someone called me a racist today I would probably just roll my eyes. If everyone is a racist then racism isn't a big deal.

The Dallas cop killer was an Army vet, and the Baton Rouge cop killer is being reported as being a USMC vet. So when that leaked DHS memo from a few year back said that they were concerned about military vets becoming right-wing extremists....they apparently should have been looking in the other direction.

Baton Rouge police news conference:
- BG had a Tavor, a Stag AR(left in vehicle), and an XD pistol. - BG was looking for an optimal place for an ambush - He approached a parked police car at the store, but retreated when he saw no one was in it. - Next, he got back in his car and drove around to the north end of the block, where a LEO was vacuuming his cruiser at a nearby carwash, but the LEO left before he got close. - He parks his car there and walks back south past the store and back behind another building (where his car was originally parked), at the South end of the block. - By now calls about a man with a rifle have gone out, and he shoots the first two LEOs that arrive on scene. And then shoots another LEO who was coming up from behind his postion. - He advances on the two downed LEOs and shoots a Deputy coming to their aid. Then shoots one Of the LEOs who was down but only wounded. - BG runs back north to where he had parked his vehicle by the car wash, and shoots another Deputy that is sitting in his cruiser, running the vehicle's tag. - From the same parking lot, he shoots another LEO who was approaching him from the West. - A SWAT officer just on the scene, and also West of him, spots him in the parking lot, and drops the BG from 100 yards away.

Kansas police officer shot and killed responding to shooting report
www.foxnews.com/us/2016/07/19/kansas-police-officer-in-critical-condition-after-being-shot.htmlA Kansas City, Kan. police officer was shot and killed Tuesday afternoon while responding to a reported drive-by shooting.
Officials said Capt. Robert David Melton, 46, was pronounced dead at University of Kansas Hospital at 2:55 p.m. local time.
Later Tuesday, authorities said the suspected shooter was caught about a block away from where Melton was shot. The suspect was being questioned along with a second person suspected in the initial drive-by. A third person who had been taken into custody was determined not to have been involved and was released, police said.....
....The shooting happened after police responded to a report around 1:30 p.m. from a person who said several people in a car were firing shots. The suspect vehicle took off as police arrived, but it crashed into a fence and the occupants bailed out at 1:36 p.m., police spokesman Tom Tomasic said. Two people were taken into custody within three minutes of the wreck, he said.
About a half-hour after the initial call, Melton saw someone who matched the description of the third suspect about 20 blocks from the original scene and pulled up to them, police spokesman Tom Tomasic said. Before he could get out of his car, he was shot multiple times.
Tomasic told reporters it was too early to determine whether the shooting was linked to other attacks on police officers in Dallas and Baton Rouge.*More at link.
