I've been consistently annoyed at the real estate racket. Like paying for a 'title search', when the house has only ever had one owner. It's a game, with collusion between all parties at the expense of both the buyer and the seller. Irritating.
HOWEVER, congrats on moving a few steps closer to having a home of your own! Pics of the house and property (properly scrubbed for OPSEC, of course...) when you get the chance!

Well things i knew had to happen like foundation inspection , home inspection, proof of home owners insurance ,ect has come and gone. Some of these inspections cost a lot more then they should for someone to spend 5 minutes looking at some block. Yeah, I've noticed there's a big difference between having your house in the city limits versus the county.....County insepectors around here only charge around half as much as city ones. And if you're building a house there can be a difference. Like how the County electrical inspector only comes out twice, while the City ones come out three times.... Probably just another way for the cities & towns to stuff their coffers. |

Went for final walk through after work. Pulled in and the home owners were there? So got out talked to them a big waited on realtor. She got there did walk through while the home owners ate dinner. Said it looked good and we were good to go on the sale.
Walking out the door my phone buzz's email from my 401k where im getting the down payment from. Hello Reds we need more info before we can approve the funds distribution. I go to closing in 4 days. So me and realtor start coming up with a plan while im on the phone with 401K company. Since my name don't have a suffix on it in there system but the house paper work does they need proof. Go to realtors office fax my drivers licence to 401K company and see what happens tomorrow.

Well I am on my phone right now still have the big move this coming weekend .I did get the house at 5:30 on Friday night . Still have to get my computer over here and more then a ranger roll to sleep in ,no Internet service set up yet either. But it is all the banks till I pay them off , they let me enjoy it a month at a time. I did bring a few books and reading things,stuff I need for work and my S&W Shield with 2 mags of Federal 124 grain HST just in case.

Ok took a week but i now have internet. Still have a lot of unpacking to do, clean and organize stuff, get security cameras up and running ,move 20 thousand rounds ( assorted) from my brothers. Pics when i get a chance.
