But damned if this cook book doesn't have some tasty recipes and makes me chuckle non-stop. GBM, if you didn't write this shit up you need to either go visit a fool 'cuz they owe you money, or fess up and donate a signed copy to all F&L members. Check it; it's what's for lunch, bitches. www.thugkitchen.com/chickpea_pesto_sandwich

I know right? Been on a pesto kick for some stupid reason and am hitting this delicacy today for lunch (adding in lil' chickan n' some fresh 'mato and hotpep) www.thugkitchen.com/black_bean_and_cilantro_pesto_wrapBecause tasty, bitches. I love it, my bottom end has questions, though. Fiber of this magnitude can be vicious.

I love it, my bottom end has questions, though. Fiber of this magnitude can be vicious. Indeed. If I've been slacking on my diet and decide to get back to my regular oatmeal for breakfast and heavier on the veggies for other meals, things can be...a bit squishy for a day or two until my gut gets things figured back out...

Soooooooooooooooooooooooo - It's weird. Maybe I should edit the title of this post to "Maybe I'm becoming a Vegetarian and not fully acknowledging it".
Been hitting the veggies harder than I thought lately, lots of home made hummus and carrots for snacks, purposely seeking out weird ass tubers at the grocery store and seeing what I can cook with them. Red meat's still stacked in the freezer (probably because I don't want to start the grill in -13F weather), and have been munching fish pretty hard because icefishing yo.
Somehow managed to lose 8lbs since the new year somewhere, which while yay is more like WTF because I really didn't need to loose anything at this point.
Veggie based F&L folk, how do you keep your protein up in veggie dishes? I'm already blowing through nuts like their cheap, and dang it I like my animal based cheese/yogurts so no furrowed brows for that.
Bonus round - lentil dishes that don't suck but taste awesome.
And GOGOGOGOGOGOGO!

I generally don't protein up any dishes but I just drink a shake a day. I've found the adding things that are protein make the dish taste like YUCK!!!

NS - I'm trying to mathematically prove that Bacon is a vegetable. I may have to use new math.
GBM - Well that's sort of a bummer. Out of curiosity, what kind of protons did you try adding to dishes? Soy based? Legume based?

NS - I'm trying to mathematically prove that Bacon is a vegetable. I may have to use new math. Bacon is the end result of the conversion process of vegetables in to real food. Ie. Salad -> (Somesortachemicalreactionhere) -> Bacon Seems pretty cut and dry. I understand a similar processes are used for steak and lamb...

Soy based? Legume based? Generally, tofu, lentils, beans, but I eat those anyway. I was thinking you meant one of those powders. Cause those ruin food. I have an EAS protein shake a day.

I tried one of those "pea" based protein powders once. Once. Nasty, nasty, nasty. I favor Dymatize for powder, but I've been using ANSI lately because of the cost difference (about 34USD/5lbs shipped). Dymatize has more flavors, but I usually stick to the basics and add frozen fruit to them.
Good to know on the real food side, I need to play around with some lentils and see if they're compatible with the gullet. Most things are, it's the bottom end that likes to cause a ruckus if it objects.
