Hey, if that other board can do it, why can't we?
Would anyone in the southern reaches (aka SC) care to go for an overnighter sometime in January? Could be an epic destructo-test like OM is famous for, (him walking breezily along with his hands in his pockets as I am wheezing like an old steam locomotive is permanently ingrained in my psyche...) or it could be a car camping trip to Sesqui. I don't care. I am open to anything. Figured it is time to get out of the cabin a bit more.
Anyone?

It's a little far away for me to make it, wish I could as I love winter camping in the snow. Looks like my next camping trip is going to be just under 4 weeks long starting about the 2nd week of June in Alaska. Fortunately there are lots of trees to hang hammocks from....

Give me cool or cold weather anytime! No shit, Lowkey. I exclusively camp in the early spring or late fall/winter now. The summer season can keep it's heat/humidity/bugs/poison ivy/crowds. Yuk.
As far as coming down for a camping trip, the only trip to SC I'm going to be able to swing this year is the gun class GBM is setting up. I'll see you then!

Well, that brings up a possibility. Wonder if there are any good places to camp near Dunn NC?

I'm out for sure. 2 classes this semester will keep me busy. But on the bright side, last semester unless I look into a doctorate. I don't know why I put myself through the pain.

Sorry, Dr. Ivan Beardski is 3-5 years out if I ever decide to do it.
