Alright, I'm going to have to do this piece-meal, like all my threads...Ha! But, anyways, if your looking for a good chopper, look no further... Pro's: -Thick Blade...no worries about this bad boy snapping on ya! -Keep an edge! -Heavy (also a CON...)...this thing works like a small hatchet, and makes quick/easy work of even the biggest sapling. If you need to process a lot of wood (shelter construction), the weight of this blade will save you a lot of time! -Excellent sheath! MOLLE compatible...also has a side sheath to house the BK-13 Neck Knife. Con's: -Heavy...make no mistake...this is not a light, nor a small knife! -Expensive...but, NOT OVER-PRICED (IMHO). $89-$99. -Screws in handle can come loose...loc-tite them mugs!!! And pic up some spare screws at Lowes, etc. to keep in your gear repair kit. Here's is my (well used) BK-9, with the BK-13 from the side sheath, shown next to it's smaller (and newer for me) BK-2, fo size comparison. The BK-2 is a little thicker, and also makes an EXCELLENT camp knife, it's just not up to the chopping duties the BK-9 is up to... Not much else out there for this price than can process fat-wood as efficiently! Field pics to come shortly!!!

Back in '04 I sent a Becker BK7 in a care package to a buddy whose NG unit had deployed to Iraq. I told him not to worry about abusing it, since it wasn't an expensive knife ( I think I paid $50 for it).
He beat the hell out of it over there. But it held-up nicely (including a second tour to Afghanistan in 2011)....and he still has it today.

I have a Camilus Becker BK7 u abuse a lot still holds up well. I want to finish taking off that blade coating and do a nice patina to it. The grips can seem a little slippery when wet , muddy or bloody so a nice stipple job may be in its future.
