Discuss. Stand by for my input after supper.
Ok, my thoughts not that I'm a doom and gloom total end of the world but I do entertain the possibility of things changing from the mundane to the profound because our history is full of examples of it.
The end of the world as we know it may hold realities that are
very, very different from our expectations. Consider these points:
1. Not everyone will survive. Ouch. I agree. Sucks. Even the most prepared can get hit with a virus.
2. For many, circumstances will trump preparedness. I agree with this too. I mean if there is a major earthquake and you're at the epicenter, well.
3. Preparedness will cost money. There’s no way around it. Yes, just don't let it over come the rest of your life.
4. If you talk about preparedness, you’ll be ridiculed. If you
keep your mouth shut, you’ll miss out on establishing a support
system that is 100% necessary to survival. People will ridicule you for anything and everything.
5. A rural retreat won’t save you. The federal government has
you in their cross-hairs, as does the United Nations. Meh, while I do agree location doesn't matter being in .gov cross hairs?
6. Stored food runs out, eventually. Yupe, have a back up plan, if you've gone through food stock you should be planing for some sort of farming.
7. Even the best prepared survivalist Navy Seal can be brought down
by an infected ingrown toenail. True, stay fit, remain fit.
8. You probably aren’t tough enough for what’s coming. No one is. Do your best.
9. Gold and silver may be useless if a world currency is
established. Using them may even be criminalized. I agree alternate currencies will be criminalized I just doubt anything that serious would occur.
10. In a time of plenty, it’s impossible to imagine the reality
of true scarcity. This. Go take a walk around, how much food is just hanging around? Not much.
11. Survival is easy for armchair quarterbacks. It is. Or those full reliant on the goodness of others.
12. Most survivalists and preppers are overly optimistic when it
comes to how much food store, what scenarios to plan for, and their
ability to survive off the grid. Yes, the false sense of I know what's going to happen and I've fully prepared for it.
13. TEOTWAWKI will change the way you and your children and
grandchildren live. Forever. Concur.
14. The minute you bug out, your chances of reaching your retreat
destination are slim. IF some catastrophic event occurred, mobility will be very slow and very dangerous.
15. You’re kidding yourself if you think your hidden caches
won’t be found by others, eventually. Or that you'll be able to get back to them.
16. You won’t know if you’re ready for TEOTWAWKI until
you’re in the middle of it. Can't predict future events.
17. Ultimately, a too-powerful government will be the biggest
threat to your survival. Govt. are always most dangerous to their own citizens. Nothing new.
18. Life will become cheap. I agree. Be a better person and a better "warrior".
19. Free time will become a thing of the past. Oh, sun up, sun down. Then some more.
20. There’s nothing wrong with preparing for natural disasters,
but if you’re not ready for a collapse of the American economy,
you’re not ready. Mmmm, not sure on that.
21. Coming tough times will threaten even the best of marriages and
other close relationships. Yes. Very much so.
22. Growing your own food is a bigger challenge than you ever
thought possible. When everyone and everything wants to eat, yupe.
23. Depending on where you live and any drought conditions, a green
garden can be spotted from miles away, thus endangering your food
source and your family. Yes.
24. Dealing with human waste and trash will become your new
part-time job. Watch a show on Netflix called Filthy Cities. Gross, your own poop will kill you.
25. You’ll discover exactly what you’re capable of when your
family is threatened. Figure this out now.
26. Formerly strong and capable people will escape their new reality
through booze, drugs, and/or suicide. I agree.
27. Protecting and nurturing close family ties will become one of
the most important things you can do. Yupe, too many people piss on them. This is the greatest life line you'll have.
28. Those who can accept and adapt will find survival easier than
those who hold on to the past or have unrealistic expectations of
the future.
I agree, expect change.
I found it here. Please click the link and show some love.
