We've all seen the people in LA who loaded up carts with tons of food when they heard there was a glitch in the EBT system. Well it seems someone didn't appreciate that type of abuse of the system. theadvocate.com/home/7514395-125/jindal-moves-to-strip-foodHere's a snippet. "The Jindal administration vowed late Wednesday to strip food stamp benefits from recipients who misled retailers about their spending limits during a technical malfunction. Recipients who walked away with groceries that exceeded their food stamp balances face losing their benefits for a year, two years or permanently depending on how many prior infractions they have. Exactly how many stand to be punished is unclear. More than 12,000 transactions generated insufficient funds notices once the electronic benefit transfer, or EBT, system came back online Oct. 12 and retailers could process stored transactions."

Good! I have no problem with anyone that truly needs this assistance, I know there are plenty out there that have had hard times.
With that being said though...... I am sick and tired of the generational welfare recipients that sit on the couch and collect their 'checks' just because they feel entitled to them. Those that beat the system so others can pay is disgusting. I do hope they do something about it!

Hopefully Jindal will lead the way for other states to begin to tighten down on EBT fraud. It's rampant here in south Florida. Here is a good summary of the changes to SNAP that start this month. I don't think we'll see any rioting (yet), but these are substantial changes that the MSM has largely ignored.

When they lowered the SNAP amount, food banks started seeing an increase in people. Hmm..Who would have though?
