I've been working on some new mag carrier designs. This style of carrier has been out for some time and it took some time/thought/energy on what would be needed to make it my own. Most of this style claim to be minimalistic, but are overlooking terails to make them much smaller than what they are. The concept still needs some smaller details hammered out, but there are 90% to where they need to be. An AR15 carrier will be shortly behind once these details are squared away. I've played with three previous iterations of this concept and haven't been nearly as stoked for them as I am for these. Here are some pictures and details for an earlyshare with the F&L homies. They are OWB/IWB compatible, as well as rounds forward/rear reversible. They are also great for "Hybrid IWB," my new favorite way to sling my TDI and mags. The height is determined by placing the center of gravity of a 19/23 mag below the centerline of the belt. going any smaller would result in the top of the mag flopping outward from the belt and results in printing. The trailing edge is riveted , where all other designs of this style I have seen attached with screws and spacers. While this results in adjustable retention screws have a higher potential of failure than rivets. The width profile is the smallest possible with a riveted design.

The bottom is kept as open as possible. This allows for the maximum amount of size reduction, and drainage and this area is frequently left sealed. Overlooking this when shaving a mag carrier leaves a lot of unnecessary material behind. They are molded around Winchester XST .40 rounds in a 23 mag to allow for plenty of room for a variety of ammo. The Hornady Critical Duty 9mm rounds have lots of space for activities. The Coyote Gray one at the end is the most up to date variant. The circular molding is a mockup of an attachment point to the AR15 mags that are soon to follow. This will allow them to be bolted together so a pistol mag can be ran atop a rifle carrier, kangaroo style. The molding is too large and I don't like the position, so something else will happen there.

Are those like the two/or double AR mag carriers that I ordered?
Very nice.

Yessir, your AR carriers will be very similar to this. My objective is to make a carrier system to where pistol and rifle mags play nice together. Since I have much more familiarity with pistols as a whole I'm starting with the pistol carriers and will base the rifle carriers off those designs. I should have the rifle design hashed out within the next week or two. You'll be the first to get hands on them for sure.

Cool. I knew I'd like your work, but those actually look better than most factory work.
I especially like how the opening on those is beveled so that they're wider and that would enable the shooter to shove them in and has less of a chance missing or being at a jacked up angle and only partially getting the mag(s) inserted.

Thanks! It'll only get better. The funnel has been used by a few companies, but I'm tweaking it to be a bit more compact, streamlined and better looking. It still needs a bit more work to get it exactly where it needs to be. I'll be tackling the AR design once these are perfected. That will likely be a bit more complex in the design process to achieve my goals with it."Posted by Gingerbread ManMOTHER OF GOD> TAKE MY MONEY. I'm calling you sometime this week. Got any pics or other details, my good man?"Just plans and motivation. All I can really say is that it will be very similar to these pistol carriers in nature and compatible with at least two major types of mags. Pistol mags will bolt to the top of these. Will be very well thought out. Will need good testing by multiple parties before sold. I don't feel I have enough basis in rifle shooting to really stand behind it on my opinion alone before I sell it. "Posted by redI need so much stuff from you RTF."Funny thing, me too. I have a lot of building and prototyping to do. "Posted by as5564 hours agoNice work. Will these work with non Glock magazines?"
At this point only Glock magazines will be supported. Support for XD, M&P and possibly 1911 mags will be added as soon as feasible. Magazines outside of the big three and 1911 may or may not get supported depending on demand. "Posted by homerj3 hours agoAwesome! More on those soon.

I volunteer for testing rifle mag carriers! I am thinking of cutting down weight on my edc and one of your pistol mag carriers would be a good way to cut 1lb.

I try for weekly but it is more like 3 times a month. Sometimes 2 if I get sick or something important breaks.
Crossbreed horsehide double mag carrier. I am thinking of going to a smaller flashlight, smaller multitool, less crap on the keyring, and carrying one spare mag instead of two. That should cut a couple pounds off the Bat belt.

Ok, I got you. I could probably be well served to cut a few pounds of EDC gear myself, things have been getting a little out of hand since I started wearing Blackhawk warrior wear pants. Can carry almost a backpacks worth of stuff. Stayed up till the wee hours or the morning cooking Kydex until I couldn't stand anymore. Finalized pistol carter designs will be done real damn soon.
