Thanks for the welcome, gentlemen. ZS douchery has been wearing on me for quite some time. That thing about the NRA, for whatever reason, pushed me over the edge. I just don't like being "told" what to do by random ass people on the internet.
Kind of reminds me of when people (peers) at work attempt to bark orders at me..that seldom goes well.

Hey, thanks for coming over as556! We have some good talks over here, IMO. It's an open board so you may invite anyone you wish. There are loads of good information filled posts on here about medical stuff if you're interest.
I'm not looking to build an empire but I just wanted to be able to talk with people without getting nit picked about the slightest comment.

Seems like all the cool kids are already over here, but there's a couple people still on ZS that I think could contribute. I like this forum better already, though. If you guys need any help or whatever, I'm on board.
I don't think anybody likes being nitpicked, we're all adults here I don't need to be chastised for such minor shit. Ah well, seems like a mass exodus was inevitable.

It will be a real shame if it dies off or dwindles into a tiny remnant of what it was. Over the years it had some great folks participating and had some excellent educational stuff. The sense of community was pretty good for the most part as well. It seems like the "core" people just can't let it grow and just guide or nudge it to keep it reasonable, they apparently just have to cut off and chop out anything that doesn't fit into their personal ideologies even when what irks them still fits within the rules of the site and it's mission statement. Some sort of forum-owner equivalent to helicopter parents?

What I don't understand is that the ZS owners don't even use the forums..like at all. That place would be shit without firearms and OT. I'm FAR from an OT person, have maybe 3 posts there, but it makes up a good portion of the forum and has its own little subculture and core users just like FA. If they cut out those topics a lot of the personality and so called community will go with it.
Honestly, I think they're just blowing smoke. But even suggesting it has kinda driven me away.
