I've put about 100rd and 6 crusty ole' Winchester rangers through this gun. It owns at 15 yds, and slaps plates at 35 yds shooting 20 year old rangers.
Trigger is excellent, no stacking, no slack and positive tactile reset. The frame is glove like, perfect. The slide in frame fit allows the slide to sit lower thus allowing a high grip which I very much prefer. The beaver tail is excellent and the combat style hammer is easy to manipulate. The decocker is excellent and once engaged places the hammer in a half cock position which takes a good 1/4" out of the travel of the trigger.
The barrel is cold hammer forged giving this gun excellent accuracy. The low bore axis also allows for almost direct travel of the cartridge from the magazine into the chamber thus aiding in reducing the chance of FTF. It has a flat wound recoil spring which increases the life span of the spring. The guide rod is plastic. One thing people complain about is plastic guide rods. Allow me to put this stupid rumor to rest. The only thing the guide rod does is retain the recoil spring in it's position. It has nothing to do with accuracy. Glocks have been using them for over 25 years thus proving the durability of a plastic guide rod. Metal is fine too but accuracy is most affected by the shooter, the barrel to slide fit and the slide to frame fit.
Grips are tacky rubber and aid in the over all good feeling of the frame. The front and back of the frame also have vertical serrations. The trigger has vertical serrations that keep the finger in the right spot through out the travel of the trigger. The slide release is over the appropriate size, very goldilocks. The frame lacks an accessory rail but I believe guns are not flashlights do I don't believe this is a detriment.
Combat hammer and decocker.
Slide in frame design.
Plastic guide rod, flat wire spring and classic browning lock up. It's pedigree is showing.
Aluminum frame that is not finished internally. Poly coat is only sprayed on the outside because aluminum does rust thus no needing a coating apart from aesthetics.
CHF barrel and feed ramp.
Internals.
Front and rear serrations on the slide.
Difficult to see however the cartridge is almost directly inline with the chamber. Very reliable feeding.
Combat serrated trigger.
Positive mag release.
The awesome.
Vs Glock 19 slide
Vs. Glock 19. It's 6 ounces heavier but recoil management is very much improved.
the trigger is light years better than a Glock. I love Glocks.
