Never knew where Vortex was made and I looked around to confirm and it looks like they are made all over Asia, Europe and even the Philippines. Hadn't heard/seen that before. The reviews on that particular Vortex scope are good from shooters who just bought it and took it out a few times, but I couldn't find a single review from anyone that used it a great deal in say a competitive environment or really put it through it's paces and rode it hard and put it up wet. It might hold up fine and then again it may not. I don't know. A metric ton of them are being sold and I haven't heard many complaints. So either no one is really shooting them much or they're working out fine. I'm going to guess the second. --- Yeah, it's expensive but you get spoiled on good glass. I still can't afford the really good stuff like Schmidt & Bender. Swarovski, Nightforce or U.S. Optics, so Trijicon, Zeiss and Nikon will have to be good enough. Been working out so far.

Just got it in the mail, bottom says made in Philipines. So far it is very impressive getting it mounted and bore sighted tomorrow.
