Press conference a little while ago said there was sumdood who drove up on the sidewalk and hit several people with his vehicle, then jumped out and cut a couple more with a "butcher knife"....then a LEO shot him DRT.
I guess it was the sound of the Officer firing at the perp that caused the "active shooter" alert.

News is saying now the 'active shooter' (active-driver-stabber?) was Somali and it appears that he drove into the crowd of people who had gathered after exiting the building due to a fire alarm and then started hacking them with a butcher knife...ON PURPOSE!! Nobody is willing to hazard a guess as far as why this young man might have done this, though...

ALSO, at the risk of painting with an extremely broad brush, and knowing full well that we don't know all the facts behind the recent attacks at The OSU, and without any knowledge whatsoever about how liberal or conservative the faculty/staff/students at that particular institution of higher learning tend to be...
Is it not the height of irony that the kids and staff of our Universities are completely and utterly dependent on people they hate (cops) using objects they hate (firearms) to come save their bacon if the wolves come knocking/stabbing on their door?

And now the libs are using this as an example of gun control working... I mean really? A gun saved an unknown number of potential victims in a gun free zone.

Trump says he'll nominate retired Marine Gen. Mattis as secretary of defense
www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/12/01/trump-think-lot-democrats-are-going-to-join-us.htmlPresident-elect Donald Trump kicked off his post-election "Thank You" tour Thursday by announcing that he would nominate retired Marine Gen. James Mattis as secretary of defense.
At a rally in Cincinnati, Trump described Mattis as "one of our great, great generals" and added that a formal announcement would be made Monday, "so don't tell anybody."
"They say he's the closest thing to Gen. George Patton that we have," Trump told the crowd, "and it's about time. It's about time."
A source close to Trump told Fox News that the president-elect's decision to divulge the Mattis pick at the rally was a surprise. Transition sources had repeatedly described Mattis as the favorite for the defense secretary position, but stressed the choice had not been formally made. Just prior to Thursday night's event, Trump himself played down the possibility that any announcement was imminent.
