fox4kc.com/2014/04/09/at-least-eight-stabbed-at-pennsylvania-high-school/Well, are they going to ban assault knives now? Did this guy take a cue from the Chinese knife attacks? Who knows. MURRYSVILLE, Pa. — Several students were reportedly stabbed Wednesday morning at a Pennsylvania high school during a fire drill exercise. CNN reports eight students were injured when someone with a knife attacked them at western Pennsylvania’s Franklin Regional High School. According to CBS Pittsburgh, the suspect is in custody but has not been identified.

Jeez. I'm watching some CNN right now and they're detailing the response at the trauma center several of the victims have been taken to. I swear to God I would rather be shot than stabbed. A serious slash job is jaw-droppingly horrific.
Have we confirmed this was indeed an assault knife with a shoulder thing that goes up? No honest man needs one of those things...

I'm so glad the sheriff provides SROs for schools here. I have been petitioning to get SROs in all schools in the county. They rotate around during the day but I think each school should have an assigned SRO.

Was it a multi-bladed high capacity assault swiss army knife? Because they are inherently evil just by the nature of their being. Who can help but get stabby? Probably unregistered from a knife show loop-hole.

"The 16-year-old boy charged in a stabbing spree at a high school outside Pittsburgh was not a problem student or outcast like those who have been involved in other school violence across the country, and was "like a deer in the headlights" hours after the attack, frightened and depressed, his attorney said Thursday. Attorney Patrick Thomassey said he believes police are just as puzzled as Alex Hribal's family about why the teen pulled two knives from a kitchen drawer Wednesday, went to school and "started stabbing people." He had no history of mental illness and his family didn't see any sign that he was capable of violence, Thomassey said, deepening the mystery over what prompted the rampage that injured 21 students and a security guard." Spontaneous violence with no prior indicators? Huh, I read about this somewhere....let me find that book, where did I put it?
