I've been wanting to do a day there with the crew for about 2 years and it always seems to fall off the list.
If you want to do a Saturday there, PLEASE let me know.
Did they stop the "you can it yourself" service? Or just order and pickup?

From what I got to talk to her, it sounded like they no longer did the can yourself, but you could buy the materials there to do it at home. The customer said that she bought her bulk items at the cannery and the cans, and then took it all home. That might mean she didn't do anything there, or that they do not any longer. I plan on giving them a call in the next week or so for more information. I work with a LDS, but she said, "I'm a bad LDS, I don't do any of that and I should." So I might try to get more info off her or maybe one of her fellow LDS.

I spoke with the LDS person at work, she said that when I get ready to go down, she would go with me. So I have an "in" the first time there.

Well I don't self invite, so let us know the workings and we can plan a later trip.
Also, I know that last year when you canned yourself, you could volunteer to can for them to help them out. That might be a good way to get some brownie points for the future if they still allow it.

I'll let you know when we go down, it might be in the middle of the week as I just was given a new position at work and my days off are no longer weekend friendly.
