Yeah, I see where they're going with that. In theory, it would reduce friction, maybe reduce unlock/lock time but I see some issues too, in theory. The AR cam is there to be part of the locking system of the BCG and add to the dwell time before the lugs unlock. The milli-seconds of dwell time allow the pressures to reduce to safe levels. I think this may reduce that time. Will it make a difference as in being unsafe, IDK, most likely not. Will the extra .001 seconds help in a game of milli seconds, IDK. I think it's an add on that just doesn't need to be there. A regular cam is maybe $1. I'm not sure on the cost of these but I bet the money could be better spent on trigger time ammo.
TL;DR: I don't think it's necessary or needed and dollaz should be spend on ammo.

As I understand it, the roller cams are mostly for the piston ARs. A buddy of mine got a piston Stag AR awhile back. He asked me about the POF roller cams (cuz he read on the internetz that his Stag really, really, really needed one).......I don't know nuthin' 'bout piston ARs, so I told him "Screw it, get one and we'll try it". He did, and the gun didn't divide by zero or anything, so I guess it's "okay".
