Yeah, saw that...that's awesome.
Bet that they drag their feet and make it as much of a pain in the ass as possible.
People generally move towards freedom though, so eventually it'll be easier. Just basically the city bureaucracy throwing a fit over their slight loss of power.

Motherfucker should go back home. There's a few things that piss me off more than when someone moves to a country and immediately sets to trying to change things. That guy should try looking at the violent crime rates in the UK (including Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland). UK Violent Crime Rate Eight Times Higher Than The US According to the FBI, there were 1.2 million violent crimes committed in the US during 2011. FBI — Violent Crime www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in-the-u.s/2011/crime-in-the-u.s.-2011/violent-crime/violent-crimeAccording to the UK government, there were 1.94 million violent crimes in the UK during 2011. www.ons.gov.uk/ons/dcp171778_296191.pdfThere are almost exactly five times as many people in the US as in the UK – 314 million vs. 63 million. The violent crime rate in the UK is 3,100 per 100,000, and in the US it is 380 per 100,000 population. For some reason, Piers Morgan doesn’t talk about this. I've met a few Brits that didn't have their head in their ass so there are exceptions, but by and large many of them are curiously for more and more regulations on pretty much everything. Many of them seem to want to have direction in every aspect of their lives. The few I met that weren't like that were a breath of fresh air. I was like "How come so most other Brits are a bunch of socialist cockbites who believed the propaganda that's been spoonfed to them and you're not? Where did you grow up?"

He uses "gun crime" as his arguments. Well, guns are illegal in UK so they do other violent crimes which he doesn't want to talk about. He's a, using a British term, tosser. Edit, added: From wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piers_Morgan"On 28 November 2012 the Channel 4 documentary Taking on the Tabloids, fronted by actor and phone-hacking victim Hugh Grant, showed footage from a 2003 interview with Morgan by the singer and phone-hacking victim Charlotte Church, during which he explained to her how to avoid anwserphone messages being listened to by journalists. He said: “You can access voicemails by typing in a number. Now, are you really telling me that journalists aren’t going to do that?"[78][79]
The following day (29 November 2012) the official findings of the Leveson Inquiry were released, in which Lord Justice Leveson said Morgan's testimony under oath on phone hacking was "utterly unpersuasive. This was not, in any sense at all, a convincing answer" and "What it does, however, clearly prove is that he was aware that it was taking place in the press as a whole and that he was sufficiently unembarrassed by what was criminal behaviour that he was prepared to joke about it.""

Yeah, but narrowing the parameters of a topic to get the answer you want is intellectually dishonest.
The end result of someone getting shot or stabbed to death is still death. If a rapist uses a knife to gain compliance with a rape victim the end result is still sexual assault.
Self defense laws in the UK also just make it safer for criminals to operate. People who have dared to defend themselves in home invasions or on the street against muggers/armed robbers have often been charged themselves.
Not the sort of country I'd want to live in.
What criminal charges were you talking about? Was it a charge stemming from that phone hacking scandal?
- That guy can say whatever he wants though. I've never watched his show and no one else I know does either. Judging from the ratings not many others do either.
Whatever...the law abiding citizens of Chicago will now be able to defend themselves a little bit better as a result of this.
