He is. Nelson Mandela was a convicted terrorist, participated in bombing women and children, and advocated violence for the majority of his life. He wasn't a good guy. Only after he won a fragile victory did he decide not to push the issue and went with a path of non-violence. He knew a revolution would only destabilize his power.
I think racism is horrible and wholely dehumanizing philosophy. Doesn't make bombing them right.

Yeah, I think so too. I don't know how people can forget this stuff. Maybe it's because they never knew it at all and they thought that he was imprisoned as some sort of Steve Biko-like character for merely being an activist against apartheid. The TV said that he was a great guy so he must be.  |
