Not the first time bullets have been jacketed in nylon. www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/AMM-361 They are substituting materials to reduce material cost. I think we will continue to see more of these changes and workarounds as metal costs stay high and demand for inexpensive training ammo continues to grow.

Cool idea though. Hope they work well, hope they take off as far as marketing goes and I hope it drops in price.
Not much sense in buying this stuff when Tula and Wolf is less.
PCP also came out with plastic cased ammo. Instead of marketing it as lower end blaster-type ammo they're going the other direction with it. Maybe they'll come out with an econo-line version as well.

In the late 70s early 80s, Federal did the NyClad bullet that was simply awesome. I can tell you that from shootings at a buddy of mines department, they worked just fine.
I still have some 9mm and .38 around here some where.
And from the link I didn't click on until now, Federal still makes it!

I've shot these on several occasions, it works fine. I felt it was actually cleaner on the bore than standard FMJ.
