I had a decent reply that itemized Chittum's 36 item checklist predictions (starting on page 154), I gave examples complete with links of current events that showed how on target he was currently and then lost it. The entire thing got deleted.
It had everything from the decisions about illegal aliens and the efforts of the States of AZ and TX regarding voter ID's to how the US Supreme Court legalizes and condones discrimination on White, Asian and Jewish students in the Abigail Fischer case. I imagine that it wouldn't take much to convince the members of this forum that the Democratic Party and Progressives want to hack the 2nd Amendment apart and that they're doing their best to squash the 1st Amendment if it goes against their party line.
America is definitely fracturing along tribal lines in my opinion. I agree with your assessment, I just more believe that he was correct at the higher end of the spectrum (80% correct). I'm also on board with you that there are a few items that he's incorrect on, but then again the whole thing hasn't played out yet either.
Yeah, the phrase '
New World Order' was a catchphrase in the 90's and it meant different things to different people. To me it more means that increasingly international law and treaties were considered at the same level as the laws of the United States itself by both Congress and our judicial system. To me it shouldn't even be a consideration at all until after they've considered every angle of our law. Every so often I'll read something that irks me where a member of Congress or some judge in the case I was reading about gave international law the same weight as our laws. It's kind of like what some European countries (Poland, England, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Finland, Hungary etc) are running into when Brussels demands that they take more Islamic and African colonists or the EU demands that there be more restrictions on legal firearms after these repeated incidents of Islamic terrorism in France. I'm pretty sure that right now some guy in Poland is chatting online with his pals talking about how much that sucks and about how he doesn't give a fuck what the EU or America thinks that he doesn't want Muslims taking up all the apartments in town funded by the government by those in need, bothering his girlfriend and grabbing her ass and stating emphatically that he's not going to be giving up his ViS 35 Radom or his Tantal.
Affirmative action has turned from something that meant well and was supposed to give people a leg up into turning everyone who is not a person of color (including Asians and those of Jewish heritage) into second class citizens. Political correctness has always stomped on free speech to some degree, but in the past 15 years it's turned into a completely fascist ideology that stomps on polite dissent and attempts to and sometimes succeeds in ruining people's lives.

Haven't seen any racial classification on ID cards or DL's in the US. Where it matters occasionally now is on job and college applications. That's where you can get screwed.
On that one I just think he screwed up on the wording.
This is why progressives and Dems freak out so much about voter ID laws, there's not too much that they can say. In modern life you use your DL or ID card in every facet of life. Get pulled over for a traffic infraction, you present your DL. Cash a $100 check at the bank? You show your ID. Go to the doctor for an ear infection? You show your ID to the physicians assistant and then if he gives you drops or an antibiotic you show your ID again at the pharmacy.
Buy a gun? You show your ID or DL. Rent a hotel room? Show your ID. Get water and electricity hooked up or buy a cell phone? You have to show your ID. And on and on and on, but suddenly progressives freak out about people presenting their ID when doing their small bit to change the course of history in both national and state/local elections. Immediately in their minds obtaining an ID card is an almost insurmountable process that a person of color is almost incapable of completing without help and reaching into their wallet to present it to prove that they're an American citizen is embarrassing.
Complete bullshit, but that's their argument in Federal court.
The attacks on our rights continue daily. I don't think that I need to convince anyone on this forum of the government's desire to rob American citizens of their right to bear arms. At least the lie where they pretend that they didn't have a desire to confiscate every gun in the country is dead in the water.
I've seen a few interviews with the statist/anti-freedom crowd where they've tried to backtrack and say that forcible confiscation isn't on the table, but even the milquetoast interviewer didn't believe them.
This was kind of a gimme prediction that Chittum couldn't lose on. The government of any country on earth that starts to experience massive rioting, civil unrest and has to worry about the backlash of a gun owning majority is going to try to control guns and ammo.
We're definitely seeing that.
In some areas of the country the police have more switched into having to act like the military to try to maintain some semblance of order. Not really much of a choice due to the organized nature of some street gangs, prison gangs operating outside of prison walls once released and criminal organizations.
For a recent example we did see the National Guard get called into Milwaukee pretty quick though. It didn't take a month of rioting before they were called in. I imagine that we'll see more and more of that as crash dummy-like criminals and gangbangers who happen to be black continue to get shot by the police while trying to shoot them, grab for their gun, run them over with a vehicle or come at them with a knife. After that opportunistic elements within the urban areas will then continue to try to grab everything that isn't nailed down and left wing extremists will continue to try to use the unrest for their own purposes like sharks once they sense that blood is in the water.

With this one the thing is that the current administration is sympathetic to criminals as well as some terror groups. Same thing with Clinton. Can't imagine that most of the violent leftist terror groups that are plaguing the nation for the last couple of years with widespread rioting and shooting police pose much of a threat to Obama or Clinton.
I guess with some of these groups they're so deluded and so far out on the fringe of the left that they believe that Hillary Clinton is a secret Kluxer or that Obama is an Uncle Tom. Maybe Chittum was more thinking along the lines of how the situation would play out with the US having a Republican President.
The only terror groups that I can think of who might pose a threat to Obama or Clinton would be Sunni Jihadi's or those on the far-far-right (not sure if there are many of them left).

When I was growing up in Los Angeles I thought this same way about the gangs operating in our neighborhood. They were somewhat of a non-government military power. In some cases they were better armed than the police at the time and in some cases organized under military lines (in other cases not so much). Some of the more obvious and violent gangsters were picked off and arrested by the police because they were completely out of control and were so blatant about everything, but for the most part the police left a lot of them alone to do their thing (importing drugs, selling drugs, giving a part of the proceeds as a '
tax' to the Mexican Mafia for when one of their set eventually got locked up, using drugs and then fighting and killing their rivals over territory, women and respect).
It wasn't like the police didn't know what was going on. The vast majority of these guys weren't American citizens either. The police in those neighborhoods were always to some degree always held back by the politicians because they were afraid of the political ramifications, they were afraid of having another potential riot and they were afraid of losing votes in the next election. The gangbangers didn't vote, but their family does (illegally).
So basically thousands and thousands of these guys illegally went over the border with their families, their families rented a house or an apt and stuffed as many of their family as they could, they usually got on social services meant for actual citizens, they didn't even attempt to try to become citizens, each one of these thousands of individual young men and sometimes the young women committed at least dozens and dozens of felony's and hundreds of misdemeanors in this foreign country (sometimes more) and in many cases the hands of the police were tied. They should have been kicked out of the country from the very beginning, if they committed a crime they should have been sentenced to twice as long as they would have gotten otherwise, then after which they should have been deported after each and every police contact. That's not the way it worked though. They were basically street terrorists and people who actually lived there (often real citizens) and saw crimes being committed lived in fear and couldn't say anything to the police for fear that their house would be shot up or lit on fire, their children chased home from school and beat up or have their car vandalized with the tires slashed, had the windows and the windshield bashed in and had '
Snitch Bitch' painted on it after they testified in court that they saw one of these idiots shoot their brother in the front yard of their house.
In a couple of the neighborhoods (Highland Park, Ca) I lived in the cops would gather down the hill until they had several squad cars before they came up. It wasn't a complete no-go area like you see in France, but close. That was the worst neighborhood I ever lived in although I saw them do the same thing once in El Monte, Ca after the guy across the street got shot. The gangsters to some degree controlled the neighborhood, they were a military power that the police didn't crush because of their immigration status. The fact is that illegal immigration is supported by the Democratic Party and to some extent they got a pass because of that. Chances are even an illegal catches a felony they won't be deported, least not in California.
I remember Prop. 187. That's when I realized the whole political and judicial system is fixed and that the will of actual citizens doesn't matter much. California Proposition 187 (also known as the Save Our State (SOS) initiative) was a 1994 ballot initiative to establish a state-run citizenship screening system and prohibit illegal aliens from using non-emergency health care, public education, and other services in the State of California
Alot of work went into just getting that on the ballot. My best friends grandmother and several of her friends gathered signatures outside the post office to get that on the ballot. She was attacked once and had her table flipped over and so after that a friend and I arrived early in the parking space closest to her and hung out in the parking lot all day for the rest of the week with a few bats and a couple guns to make sure she was okay. Nothing major popped off, but a few times we had to walk over there by the table when the conversation with people coming out of the post office started getting heated because they realized what they were being asked to sign and they didn't agree with it. I saw several incidents of people trying to get signatures to get Prop. 187 on the ballot getting attacked on the news
Prop. 187 was passed despite the nightly news was constantly saying that it had no chance. It was then overturned in court largely on a technicality by a legal team bought with money from the Mexican government and a California governor who rolled over and played dead.
It's the same thing that we're seeing in England with Brexit. The politicians and lawmakers are doing their best to stay (in the EU) despite the question of whether the British people want to stay in the European Union or not having been asked and answered. Like here the ruling elite in England believe that they know what's best for the British people and so they'll override their wishes.

I could go through the rest of the checklist again and while a couple of the items on Chittum's checklist either haven't happened yet or are doubtful to happen at all, but with most of them he nailed what would be happening almost 20 years (the book was published 1997). That's pretty amazing, the guy's definitely a student of history.
In my mind he's like Nostradamus, only more down to earth and with a little more detail.

Large scale rioting is occurring across the US in a variety of cities after a police officer shoots a criminal because he was about to be killed himself all due to the fact that the offender was black. That's it, that's the only reason. Then instead of condemning the violence, the arson, the looting and the vandalism perpetrated by both the political/racial agitators who move from city to city with these riots like ambulance chasing lawyers and the opportunistic pawns looking to get some street cred and some Adidas Yeezy's many in our government sympathize and act as though they have a legitimate grievance.
So either way we're fucked. Either there will be another Civil War in the US and the country will split apart based on ethnic, cultural, racial and regional lines with each breaking themselves off a piece or the country will look like a version of Brazil with the affluent living behind gates and armed guards while the majority of the people live in crime infested neighborhoods that are contested daily by the criminal gangs and police.
