Ok, time to replace the holster. For the last few years I've been using a cheap nylon holster. I've had my sidearm slide into my underwear twice last week, so... time to upgrade...
Glock 27, Pierce grips. Wear center of my back with the grip pointing to my right hand side.
Suggestions?

What clothes do your wear on a day to day basis? What you're wearing dictates your holster to a great degree.
Myself, I like appendix and crossdraw. I know crossdraw is poo-pooed by a lot of people, but if you spend a lot of your time behind the wheel of a vehicle or at a desk it makes a lot of sense. If you're a high-speed door kicker not so much.

It's not exactly center of back (more like 5 o'clock instead of 6), but I have 3 Galco Summer Comfort holsters that work great. www.galcogunleather.com/summer-comfort-inside-pant-holster_8_7_1306.html[you can find them for less than what's listed as MSRP] I'm generally wearing jeans/t-shirt, Carhart and polo shirts and button up short sleeve shirts with cargo pants and sometimes a jacket.

I will assume this will be IWB. I have an Alien Gear Tuck 2.0 i carry it at like well im skinny so its over/behind my back right pocket in jeans. Carry a S&W Shield in it. Not great for sitting all day but being active is works well.

Mostly Jeans/ loose polo, cargopants/tshirt. Undershirt underneath. I wear at 6, because mostly have a drill and tool bag on my hip. I'm one of those lucky ones whose boss encourages him to carry... Yes IWB

I ran with a crappy nylon IWB holster for many years as well, mostly because I really liked the easy on/easy off. I tried a few of the higher end IWB's like Crossbreed, and they were high quality and comfortable, but seemed like it was too much effort to get them on and off unless you were going to be in them literally all day - - I mostly putz around my house on my off day, so I'm only putting the gun on if I'm running to the store or some other short trip like that, then taking it right back off. I don't like screwing with belt loops because I rarely wear a belt. My compromise between security and easy on/easy off has been the Galco Triton: www.galcogunleather.com/triton-kydex-iwb-holster_8_7_1318.htmlIt is all kydex, has adjustable retention screws, and is very easy to take off and put on. The downside is it is ALL KYDEX, so it's not nearly as comfortable as a holster with a leather or fabric backing. I carry mine around 5 or 6 o'clock, betwixt me undies and shorts or jeans. The undies keep the kydex from laying directly on my skin and getting all sweatynastyuncomfy. Sitting in it is not particularly comfortable, but for short car rides it's not a big deal. If you wear a tool belt, you're probably not concerned about plopping down on your butt all day at work. I'm frankly not sure how it would feel if you had a tool belt pressing down on it.

As an aside, this is one of the things that makes me so glads that OC is not just legal in my state, but that OC is something that doesn't even draw attention or comment. A gun on the hip gets no more attention than a cell phone. As a result, picking a holster is about comfort and retention, not concealment. Not saying that CC holsters aren't used, just that we don't have to worry about the gun printing or flashing. No one cares.

I have a dozen holsters and the most versatile and used is a $20 Galco Stow n go. Im not POSITIVE it'll work at 6 but I believe it would. Its for a G26 but I've used it for tons of diff pistols and its great. They do suck till you sweat all over them and mold to the gun, though.

I like my Highnoon (Uppercut), but it's leather which I'm so/so on Glocks with after the interweb exploded from dude that had obvious worn out holster activate the trigger safety on. On my 8# DA trigger gun I haven't any mental issues at all, YMMV.
I will say that leather>kydex from a comfort perspective to me, but kydex>leather for almost every other reason out there. I think if I could find a super-thin kydex coverage holster I'd likely move that direction, but for my Glock I'm rocking a Vanguard 2 and have no issues with it.
As a funny, though, the most used holster I own is a Remora. I need to replace it as it's lost most of it's sticky after 3 years, but I do like that simple holster accept when I need to drop trou.

Ive been using this OWB holster for the past few months: www.stealthoperator.com/Stealth-Operator-Full-Size.html I am not open carrying I just always have a shirt untucked over it and it conceals really well. The cool thing about this holster is it is a one side fits most pistols. My glock 19, 20, and Sig p226 fit fine. My new Canik TP9sf goes in smooth but it takes a crazy amount of force to take it out.

Went to the NRA convention in Louisville, KY yesterday, and I picked up a holster from a group I had not heard of - LAG Tactical. My wife needed a better purse holster for her G42 than the crappy nylon one she had been using, and I grabbed this model: www.lagtactical.com/the-ambidextrous-liberator/Nice little holster. I especially like that you can switch sides with the belt clip to make it either IWB or OWB, or you can pull the clip off altogether for a pocket or purse holster. Very nice guys at their booth, and the website looks very user friendly. Another option for Kydex if anybody is in the market.

DERAILLLIN THIS MOFO
how was the show? I follow recoil and breach bang clear on the instagrams; looked like a few neat things. Did you see Merrell running around?

DERAILLLIN THIS MOFO how was the show? I follow recoil and breach bang clear on the instagrams; looked like a few neat things. Did you see Merrell running around? No sightings of the Dave-tastic one, but to be fair, there were so many beards and tatoos around I could have passed right by him and never noticed. I had never been to one of these, and I'm glad I went. I had no interest in the political sideshow, so we went mid-morning on Saturday and rolled out after about 5 hours. You can get kind of numb looking at booths, and it was crowded (but not insanely so). I was damn impressed with how smoothly the parking, registration, etc. went. NRA and the venue obviously know how to move masses of people around with minimal hair-pulling. Lots of booths, with major floor space taken up by the big boys (Glock, Smith and Wesson, Eothech, Magpul, etc), but pretty much everybody I had ever heard of was represented, plus dozens (hundreds?) of companies I hadn't. Silencers were a big deal this year, there were probably at least 7 or 8 silencer companies represented. One section of the hall was taken up with historic collections and displays, which was also cool. You could handle pretty much every piece of gear at every booth, with few exceptions. The company reps were almost to a person very cool, willing to jaw and let you pick their brains. Makes sense because they are, after all, trying to sell you stuff, but it would have been easy for them to be slowing down when they were already well into their second day. Friendly crowd, lots of families there. So, all in all I really enjoyed it, but probably won't go to another one unless it lands super close again. It's a little overwhelming. I benefitted from going with a buddy who is very firearms savvy, and he could steer us towards vendors and gear that were very high-end or really well known for a particular product that I wouldn't have had a clue about. Kind of neat to handle $4,000 AR variants from custom companies that really deal with 'leet operators but aren't generally widely marketed. It was VERY neat to be able to get hands on with such a huge variety of scopes - - Trijicon, for example, had every variation of every ACOG they make, plus all their other goodies. You probably won't get that even in a big box gun store. ALSO, I refused to stand in the 2 hour line to get my picture taken with The Gunny (R. Lee Ermey), but DID get close enough to Tori Nonaka (a team Glock sponsored shooter) that my heart was all a flutter...
