Ok guys, kinda tired but Ill post my initial thoughts and some (shitty) pics. First thing I noticed is that it was quite a bit smaller than the .mil PCs I've seen in the past. Its definitely a minimalist PC compared to some. The stitching is the best Ive seen on any MOLLE gear Ive personally used, and I didn't find it to restrict my movement too badly. It comes with a removable cummerbund, I like to have a BOK accessible and don't want it on my back, so for now Im going to run it with the cummerbund. It doesn't have plates right now, and the only pouches on it are ones I already had and the magazine pouch which I got for 3 dollars on Midway. When I get some plates Ill get some better pouches in Ranger green but for now my mismatched pouches will be fine. Its set up with 6 rifle magazines, an admin pouch, and a first aid pouch. I have a camelbak I can wear as a backpack over it, too. Ive heard some don't like having their hydration attached to the PC, maybe some of you guys have some experience with that. The Banshee covers from the top of my breastbone to the bottom of my ribs. Front Double even triple stitched Seems to open and close with Velcro on the cummerbund like most PCs Plate pocket on top Channels in shoulder straps for hydration tube, comm wire, etc. Mag pouches Side view Kind of a boring review, actually. Once I get some plates and have a chance to train with it some Ill update this thread with more photos and my thoughts after some use. Browning, TAG has ATACS versions for $120 shipped and mag, admin and medical pouches in ATACS on clearance. Id estimate you could have the full rig shipped for under $200, Id imagine that pattern would do well in TX.

Awesome.
I looked and ATACs is sold out at TAG. Maybe it's available at someplace else for roughly the same price.
What plates are you getting?

The AR500 ones. They are only about 3lbs heavier (for the pair) than ceramics, yet cost a fraction less and are less fragile and can handle repeated hits from x39 and 5.56 indefinitely. Not bad for $200 shipped. They are heavy, but the way I look at it Im in my mid 20s, if I cant handle a 40lb load (PC+rifle) then I just need to stop being a bitch and work on cardio. My joints and back can handle the occasional course and the much more frequent mall ninja-ing around my house.

Took my PC shooting, wore it for a couple hours, with no plates but full pouches and six mags. I think it will sit better with plates. It was freezing today so I wore it over a thick fleece and winter jacket and it still fit and was easy to move in. This is with both shoulder straps and body straps fully tightened. Im no huge huge dude or anything, I'm a little over 6' 180lbs, but it surprises me it needs to be fully tightened and will still fit over my jacket. I don't know that someone smaller than me could adjust it tight enough to wear properly. Though I do wear my gear pretty tight to my body, moves around less that way. Others may not mind it sitting loose. In case any of you think the face blurring is unnecessary, its not for you guys. Id sit down and burn through a couple mags or have a beer with any of you, just don't want my ugly mug floating around the net. No Facebook here, nada. Take that, .gov! Kinda funny, a forest Ranger rolled up on me shooting with my PC and AR and didn't seem the least bit concerned about it. Asked me if I had seen anyone else, smiled and was on his way. Maybe cuz he was wearing a PC, too. Looked to be Ranger Green, actually.

Face blurs can be fixed, next time use a plain black box. Also I have no social media accounts either. If I want to post pics I talk to SCBrian

You could always rock the Delta/Spec Ops/Seals A'stan beard and then put the rectangular box or black dots over your eyes later or just wear some Loc's/Maddogger sunglasses actually in the pic that you get for $5.99 at a local Stop-n-Rob. That's a good look and appears fairly popular and is somewhat stylin.

After looking around a little, I got one of those generic TAG carriers and some of those cheap CATI level 3 plates.....whoa, this thing is a bit heavier than I imagined. Guess I could always lose about 30 lbs. and get back to my "back in my prime" weight.

Does anyone know of some lower cost lightweight rifle plates or IIIA soft body armor panels that will fit that carrier?
I bought some Level III plates from AR500 awhile back and it aggravated the ruptured discs in my neck and upper back, so I'm looking to find some lighter weight plates or level IIIA soft panels that will fit that carrier.
I realize that 'Lighter Weight' and 'Lower Cost' are at odds with each other, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

There's this this thing called a "truck", often found near military installations, and the damnedest things often fall off of it.

Misterdark has the TAG backers linked above. I sold my AR 500 plates and bought UHWMPE plates instead. They are 2.8lbs I think and float. They stop every rifle round .308 and down EXCEPT M855. Sucks but is what it is. AR500 can fail on M193. They do require backers though as its ICW. www.lapolicegear.com/co-pb-ml011-rifleplate.html$150 for the set...similar plates are $500 each.
