I was going to start one in the politics forum (GBM or admin move this thread there please). Lots of shockers and as of my posting this comment, 3 senate races are still up in the air: VA - it's coming down to the wire with 5% left to turn in with DEM leading by 12k votes. I see a recount coming no matter what happens with the last 5%. LA - Run off. Two GOP candidates was the problem. If all the votes for GOP candidates goes to the GOP in the runoff, it's over. GOP will capture LA. AK - Saw something on CNN this morning. GOP candidate won but was not officially announced yet. So maybe 2 more GOP senators? That would make it 54 for the GOP. We (SC) still need to get Lindsay out of here. His recent fubar comment shows he's got to go. And yes, SC supports Tim Scott. And as soon as he was elected, the libs immediately call him names, but that's ok since they are libs. weaselzippers.us/204564-republican-senator-tim-scott-wins-senate-seat-libs-instantly-spew-racist-venom/

Tim Scott rocked it, I voted for him. We still have Linsey. Mersch. Expect some moves on immigration.
Nicki smoked the house, not a big surprise. She's the lady for the job, I like her. She shoots machineguns in high heels. Swoonneeeee....
North Cack got a R in their senate! Nice, Norf Cack. Nice.
All in I'm pretty pleased we have control of the senate even though I'm not a republican but I do share more values with tham opposed to very few with the Dems.
All in, I hope the republicans use this to pass a budget ammendment.
And there's a stroy that something like 65% of the voting pop is mad and disappointed with Obama. Shocking, I know.

I'm pretty happy, control of both the house and the senate.
MF'ers better do something with it though.

Oh, like a balanced budget amendment? Repeal the NFA?

Balanced budget and immigration reform, yes. Repealing the NFA through legislation is IMHO a pipe dream. Especially with the amount of lukewarm and milquetoast Republicans out there.
If there's going to be any movement in repealing the Hughes Amendment it'll probably come through the courts. Either way I'm not holding my breath.

These is a lawsuit out there challenging the ban on MGs. Looks good too, since they're using Miller and they ATF approved the guys MG before they turned right around and denied it.

The GOP made headway in out local elections, our state house and senate now are GOP controlled. I'm lukewarm about this, if we had a GOP majority in 2013's session we likely would be able to find G17 mags instead of just G19 mags. On the other hand, I don't really align well with either party. I voted Libertarian across most the ticket.
Our POS governor Hickenlooper is leading by a small margin, likely headed to recount. The Colorado Gun Rights page is quick to point a finger at libertarian/independent voters for not voting for slightly less POS Bob Beauprez. Fuck all that, I'm pretty tired of the status quo, and won't be voting for parties I don't align with.
As lame as this sounds, I'm happiest that I won't have to hear how horrible of people out US Senate candidates are 30x a day on coworker's Pandora stations. No more 8 emails a day from RMGO and NAGR telling me that "Mark Udall is anti-gun" (No shit Sherlock!) and that they desparatley need my money to donate to campaigns of politicians I have no faith in to run more advertisements that annoy the hell out of me.
I'm almost getting to the point where I'm pretty sure Pro-Wrestlers sling less mud about each other before "Triple Raw Mega Smackdown" events. We need a man like Duane Elizandro Mountain Dew Herbert Camancho to show these guys some ethics.

Never really understood how that mag ban works.
Is there anything to distinguish 2012 Glock Colorado legal mags from the banned ones?
We used to do that in Cali, just drive to AZ or NV. 'Hey, going to Vegas... Need any AK mags?'

Never really understood how that mag ban works. Is there anything to distinguish 2012 Glock Colorado legal mags from the banned ones? We used to do that in Cali, just drive to AZ or NV. ' Hey, going to Vegas... Need any AK mags?' Makes it illegal to transfer/purchase magazines over 15 rounds. Previous mags are grandfathered, new manufacture mags are supposed to be date stamped. Most county sheriff's have vowed to not enforce the new gun laws we passed last year and many stores and individuals don't care anyway. Just makes things more complicated than they need to be. So 17 round G17 mags are still sold, they are just hard to come by. I've purchased several "magazine rebuild kits" since then, including my G18 33 rounder that I own only because it looks cool.
