I'd say as a Marine you can probably shoot pretty damn well, not to mention being dedicated enough to hit the range on your own dime and seek training.
Fuck dude, am I a mall ninja? I shoot with my arms and shit tucked in as much as possible, hunched over the rifle, support arm nearly straight with an overhand C grip. I'd like to think my choices in gear preclude me from being a ninja and I shoot that way because that style was in vogue when I first was exposed to ARs (about mid 2012)..but who knows.

I think we're both in serious mall-ninja danger zones. Especially considering we both work in retail. Back to my golf cart with shrike missile I go.

One thing the USMC does damn well is teach fundamentals of marksmanship and good shooting positons. If you can't hit what you're aiming at after roughly 3 weeks of all-day dry fire and live fire practice in the hands of professional marskmanship instructors you're kind of a douche. FIELD firing training was not worth a shit while I was in, even in infantry school and out in my unit. We were starting to do a little more emphasis on CQB/MOUT stuff towards the end of my time in, and I gather things have gotten much better as far as teaching you how to really "run" a rifle. And you're only a mall ninja if you brag about how awesome you are. There is essentially none of that from anybody on here who regularly posts.

I do talk about shooting fast but I try to do it in an informational/#wow, I impressed myself sort of way. Like when I talk about working out. Or saving money.
