I guess the 66 it is. That's pretty much the one I want instinctively anyway.
That sounds like a pretty easy decision, then. Yeah, but I still wanted input. Was wondering if everyone else was thinking a revolver a stupid choice. For defense I almost always go with semi's, but for hunting, woods carry and a backup hunting piece I almost always go with revolvers for some reason. Carried that one S&W 66 for forever and then that S&W 22-4 .45 ACP. Only exception is the Glock 20SF in that holster RTF made for me. That guy with the S&W 66 is supposed to get home tonight (he's off somewhere for the Halloween weekend), so I'll try to see what's up tonight or tomorrow.

True, true. I'm just to acting like it's a need still rather than a want.
Hopefully that dude won't flake out, I've had a rash of that happen the last year and a half or so. Both the guy's with the M&P and the PTR are acting flaky too. I could get them if I wanted to call a bunch and drive out there (despite my ad saying that I didn't want to drive anywhere past the next town over), but the S&W 66 dash 1 or 2 (guy wasn't sure and he didn't have it right there) is the one that I want the most anyway.

Decided I don't want to go the two tone route, much prefer the black look. Broke out the rattle can yet again. Also moved the RDS up as far as it could as suggested by GBMs vid. Anybody be willing to trade me a black SB15 for my FDE one? Ill foot the shipping. Also, for anyone wondering, yes.. you can bake your PA micro..twice

My medium ALICE I painted. Doesn't come across that great on camera. Excuse the crudely drawn white lines, my last name is written on those straps.

Ok I am about to blow up this thread with pics. Face blurred because obviously I am Tier 1 and therefore require OPSEC.

ACU not totally sucking. PSA before painting, actually first day I got it. Should've left it black. I can never leave well enough alone. Small lean to I made out squirrel hunting.

I always chuckled, after a gunsmith explained the inner workings of a revolver, at the comments that it was simple.

I think that comes from the reliability factor of revolvers over semi's back when that used to be true in the 60's, 70's and early 80's. They exchange ' reliable' for ' simple'. In the 80's and early 90's when gun rags ran out of shit to talk about they'd drag out the ' Revolver vs Semi : Wave of the future and firepower or reliability?' <<buy-this-magazine-and read-to-go-over-the-same-shit-again>> The semi had clearly caught up and won the arms race by then in reliability (even with defense ammo), but controversy sells magazines and they had a bunch of old coots to cater to. Anyone looking at the innards can tell that revolvers are anything but simple. It's still a mystery to me how they fire at all. Anytime something breaks on a semi and I'm apt to change the part out myself. I'm no gunsmith, but a decent parts changer. The one time I've had a revolver break (timing on a .38 model 10 S&W) that thing immediately went to the smith. I didn't even attempt to fix that myself. All that said I talked to the guy last night, apparently we're still on for either today or tomorrow for that 66. It's also a round butt frame which bring a premium apparently (less of them made than the sq. butts) from doing a bit of reading.

Nice. Round butt K Frame, that's what mine is as well. I dig it.
Ok gang, I, for once, have a trade question. My PSA for a Kahr PM45 in diamond black with crimson trace, 2 mags and 2 holsters.
The Kahr alone MSRPs at what I paid for the AR. I believe the PM series is better than the CM, plus Ive kind of wanted a big bore deep carry gun for awhile. The laser and holsters are nice too.

Yikes, while the value is there, Kahr guns do not have steel frame rails. They do wear out quickly. There is a reliability issue as well, 'specially with the PM models.

Yup, you're right GBM. I read some ok reviews but way too many bad. That's a shame. If it were reliable it'd be a neat little gun.
